Talladega Bonehead

Tony manned up, but he still made a mistake, so I've still gotta go with Tony on this one.

When its all on tape you dont have much choice. Tony is the biggest hipocritical a**hole in Nascar

At least he has admitted it. I've seen incidents quite a bit where it was on tape, but yet the driver at fault still tried to blame it on someone else. No one wants to take blame.

Jamie Mac. He caused 5 wrecks today that didnt happen due to the driving skills of the worlds best nascar drivers. But he tried very hard to cause a few wrecks..

NASCAR for allowing a cess-pool of a track like Talladega to host a Chase race.

This the race is slightly more than a crap shoot. Nowhere is stroking, just riding around mid race more rewarding. There is also less car adjust ability than anywhere else. It shouldn't be a chase race.

Ryan Newman for going 4 wine into the last turn bunching all the cars together leaving everyone no where to go causing the big one. I would bet if someone DVRed the race they would see then wrecking in the middle of the pack before Tony F'ed up.

Yeah, I thought the wreck was going to happen way before it finally did

I seldom contribute to the bone head threads but I am going for it this time.

I nominate Micheal Waltrip for the bonehead of the race award.

There were several other drivers that got chopped, blocked and cut off and they were able to collect their car and continue racing. Michael, who has little or no talent was racing to the front of the pack during the last few laps of racing when Stewart came down and clipped him. Michael (who is a no talent has been) totally lost it and wasn't able to regain control of his car and wiped out the field.

:D

Yeah, while I agree that Michael has limited talent, I'm gonna have to disagree that he had anything at all to do with causing the wreck. Stewart came down and mashed the side of his left rear quarter panel into Mikey's right front fender. That was ALL Stewart.
I'm just disappointed that Matt didn't drive by Stewart's mangled car and toss a helmet at him :D

Care to explain that post even more? When Stewart spun, his car slid up the track instantly. If Mickey was able to save his car after he spun Stewart, that would have only saved maybe five cars from wrecking. We still would have had roughly a 20 car wreck.

That was all Stewart.

I think you forgot the sarcasm thing. This is what you posted in the race thread blaming Stewart.:D

"I know that these are NASCAR's marquee races, the high banks of Daytona and Talladega," winning team owner Jack Roush said after the race. "I just figure the car's a writeoff when I load it up to bring it to one of these tracks."

Jeez, can you imagine what this thread would've been like if Kyle toasted the entire field?

But question is, would Kyle have admitted it was his fault, or blamed Mikey? Then would anyone defending Mikey still be defending him here if it was Kyle? Making it Kyle changes the views of a lot of people, I still would be defending Mikey :)
