Talladega Bonehead

But question is, would Kyle have admitted it was his fault, or blamed Mikey? Then would anyone defending Mikey still be defending him here if it was Kyle? Making it Kyle changes the views of a lot of people, I still would be defending Mikey :)

...even if it was Kyle?

Kyle would have blamed Mikey, just like he blamed Kez at WG when Kyle had done EXACTLY what Tony did today.

What if it was Kurt? And he DID take blame for it? He'd probably still get criticized for faking it just like he did when he was shown hugging his crew. How do we know Tony didn't take the blame just so he could make himself look like a good guy? Hmm...

Without a doubt, my driver, Tony Stewart.

.......and 2nd place to Kurt Busch thinking he could drive his car back to the pits with no fuel ...and flat tires ...with a wrecked car ..... and away from NASCAR officials who were simply there to attend to his needs.
This guy is something else.

I have to say Kurt. What Tony did is what happens every RP race. What Kurt did is pure dumbass.

"This is the way my life works. Today is a perfect example: I am leading, I wreck, I run out of gas. I tried to get back in the race, and now NASCAR is yelling at me because I don't have my helmet on, and I'm trying to get it to the garage so the guys can work on it. Now I'm in trouble, this little storm right here. This is my life. I'm not complaining; I put myself in a lot of these situations." -- Kurt Busch

Watch again, tony does come down and the 55 gets him but the 13 was pushing the 55 and never backed off. He rode him all the way to the wall.

Gotta go with Kurt Busch on this one for takin off on the safety workers.

I don't know what video you looked at, but nobody coule back of. Well, actually a bunch of them backed off, and all got collected. But at what point did the 55 "ride him all the way up to the wall" after then initial contact? You do realize that once everything starts happening at that speed, you're pretty much a passenger, right?

Yes I do realize what happens at speed yet the 13 rode the 55 up the track. Whatever.

Mears didn't ride him to the wall, but he could have reacted to the situation. He never did. Stewart comes down, and Mikey backs off and saves it. Mears NEVER backs off and actually ends up hooking Mikeys right corner and turns him up into traffic.

IDK, but a full second seems like enough time to stop pushing someone in that situation.

Sure, maybe from outside the car it does. By your logic, everyone should have been able to avoid the wreck

You need to watch the video closely VaDirt instead of exaggerating what my logic means. If Mikey was able to react and save it, Mears surely could have backed off a little in that time. You're expressing a lot of confidence in a guy who clearly failed to back off earlier in the race and wrecked 2 cars.

Mikey saved it?

Look, I am not defending anyone, just the way I saw it. Obviously different from the way you saw it, which (like most everything else) apparently means you are the only one who saw it correctly. Funny how no one can can see or say anything differently than you can with you talking as though you are the only correct one, while everyone else is an idiot.

Me? Don't start being a jackass about this. You're the one who can't accept a different opinion on the subject without getting stupid. You misrepresented what I was saying in a failed attempt to make it sound stupid. So watch some damn video or get you eyes checked.

Um, gee, you're right. You neeeeevvvvver have a problem with anyone's differing opinion.

I think Mike is very consistant with not liking some of the things the Busch bros do. I for one like his higher standards for behavior.
I think I could have exchanged "Mike" with "FenderBumper" and it would apply the same ......aint that right mate? :)

Brian France is the bonehead. For having a plate race during the chase.
