Talladega two-step --- RACE thread

Two crashes today with only four cars involved, and of course one of them had to be my fantasy driver. Maybe I should call it quits for this year as I can't really lose many more positions.

When was the last time a non chaser won back to back?

They need to shorten these races to 100 miles. When literally everybody talks about "waiting til the end" to race, you know something's wrong.

I hope Gordon is happy with his safe route finish. Pathetic

It's not just Gordon. Kenseth and Johnson and Harvick were back there too. A track and type of racing where the title contenders sit back in fear of being wiped out in a big, nearly inevitable wreck is a problem.

Got busy around the house so I only managed to catch about the last 10 laps but it's a bit disappointing that it ended under yellow, but that's typically how Talladega goes.

Cant get out of this place fast enough.

Gordon wins next week. Guaranteed.

They already showed it 3 times, the 17 got into him.

Edit: answer to BSDshoes, Now to wait for a video of Dillon's crash.

This board has a lot of Jeff Gordon "fans." It's quite annoying and I really don't understand how you can call yourself a fan of any driver when you are constantly calling them pathetic. Apparently a driver isn't good enough unless he never makes mistakes and wins every race.

Sounds like I didn't miss much of a race.
Yeah, I could have skipped it but whatever, I'm glad to have seen McMurray win one.

Kenseth calling everyone out for running single file at the end. Meh, it would probably have gotten interesting if they hadn't wrecked right when they went to make a move.

don't forget the boring caution comments. If there was a big wreck, the same ones would be calling for an end to this horribly dangerous race track.;)

Yea many of the Chase drivers are just hanging back hoping to avoid the big one and then start racing the last 10 or 20 laps. They can do that because at the plate tracks track position means essentially nothing. Take the plates off and let the drivers regulate the speed themselves.

Talladega is large enough to build both a short track and a road course configuration over it.

That and the 17 wrecking the 14 sucked.

Oh I'm sorry is this a discussion board or a support group?

The way Gordon decided to back down with 10 to go was ok with you? Its a pathetic way of racing. I'm not going to praise someone for chickening out, fan or not.

Dillon was already going around before Stenhouse touched him. Stenhouse certainly finished the job, I'll give you that, but it looked to me like Dillon just lost it.

And I hope someone uploads that audio of Kyle's cussin' fit earlier. The little bit I just heard sounds hilarious. LOL.
