Lets see, you started doing this on Wednesday then Tuesday and now Monday, getting a little anxious are we?
I'll post the weather and odds Wednesday as usual so they're current.

I think the folks complaining about the restrictor plates will be different ones from the ones complaining about how boring Charlotte was.

Couldn't stand it. IMO the most dysfunctional "racing" (?) in the history of the sport.

I always thought it added another layer of strategy. All the sudden you had to partner up with the right driver to go forward, or else you're going to fall back like a stone. A lot of coordination between the two drivers as well as the two teams. It was interesting.

I enjoyed it also. Agree 100%. It was fun to watch and differently a unique style of racing.

I love Talladega..........only in the spring.

Too much at stake this time around for one to enjoy the race fully.

Of course NASCAR gotten rid of it because the fans bitched about it and now we have large pack racing again...which is nothing more than a wreck-fest.

Drivers didn't like it either.

I know people hate plate racing, it doesn't get more intense dega. All chores and errands will be done on Saturday, I love the plate races.

Plate racing fan here as well. But if they want to take them off, go for it. If they want to leave them on, so be it...I just want to watch some racing :D

I'm glad the tandem is gone. It was almost unbearable.

What I cant figure out is I enjoy the tandem in the NW series but didnt care for it in the Cup series. Not sure how to explain it but thats how it is

and the big pack wreck-fest is better?
Not really a wreck fest. More like 500 miles of pure driver skill & concentration. Impossible to sandbag. One maybe two multiple car wrecks. Can't really call that a wreck fest. Makes for a great finish where 15+ cars on the lead lap coming to the checkers has a chance to win

Compared to the tandem where if you push the car infront of you for too long the engine blows & if you bumpdraft a tad off center you'll send the guy spinning. Cautions every 20 laps. Wreck fest. Lackluster finish where only 2-4 drivers have a chance to win.

I'll take my pack racing. You can have your anticlimactic train car follow the leader driving.

I don't like seeing a lot of wrecked race cars, but Dega is one of my favorite races. I wish i could watch it this weekend, but i can't.

Nope....I got plenty of amo for plate race complaining!

Yeh they can't really fix the problem, they want the wreck fest....makes it more exciting for all the newbies.

I'll take Pack over the Train crap any day, but I'd love to see them be able to draft like they used to, without the new cooling systems.

Don't see how it's a problem been pack racing since, what the 80s? It's the way that track was meant to be raced. Why mess with it?

DEGA!! Hands down fav track... Plate racing was better when they did the tandem imo.. closest finish in NASCAR history and most lead changes at a race? Or a train doing laps dodging bullets until the last lap? I'll go with the former.

Problem I have with tandem racing is only the guy being pushed has the chance to win. The way the aero worked if the pusher were to make a move, both drivers would lose all momentum. Like it better when the slingshot worked for anyone in the draft & you had to time it just right. Makes for nail biting racing every lap in a pack instead of the spaced out boring tandem racing where the only time anyone wants to make a move to the front is the last lap. In pack racing one if the main goals is to race to the front & stay up front to try to avoid the big one in the wad behind you
