The odds for the race seem all over the place. I'll bet the Vegas oddsmakers hate restrictor plate tracks.

They do, I have a friend that's the Automobile Racing handicapper for one of the Vegas Groups. Talking about someone who loves the computer revolution, he can live here on the beach and be in touch as if he was in Vegas. The odds are based on bets made and predicted future bets and that makes it hard as hell due to the unpredictability of the plate races even though they have programs to filter the differing scenarios. The five days before a plate race he is pretty grumpy.

After all, you do sleep a few hours out of the day. :D

I love plate racing. I may just head south for the weekend.

That was an awesome race. I just can't imagine anyone not finding that finish exciting. But, i know there will be a few that didn't like it. Different strokes for different folks.:D
 
I like what Jimmie Johnson said. He said that the days of hanging around at the back of the pack at Dega is over. He said you just can't make it to the front like you could in the past... so his plan is to just cross his fingers and go for it.:)

When that thing popped up on my 22" HD monitor and I regained my composure after saying WTF a few times I decided that I didn't want to give some of these old farts (me included) heart failure. I think I'll just stay as is on the weather but thanks, I think, for the suggestion.

Well the Truck race should be interesting. I really should start watching the trucks full time next season.
 
Question for the trivia buffs : has a Toyota ever won a Cup race at Dega? Or any Cup RP race for that matter?

In the first Talladega race of 2008, Bush won the race with Toyota. He also won the second Daytona race of that same year with Toyota. Stewart won the second Talladega race with Toyota. Those are the only three recorded wins of Toyota at RP tracks.
