Latest version of Tapatalk has been reinstalled. If double posts and errors start to reoccur, let me know immediately

I did see a double post in one of the NASCAR threads earlier today.

I just experienced an error stating that I can't post twice in 30 seconds or something to that effect when creating a new thread. It flashed on and then off the screen.

Crapola. Well, a Tapatalk developer may be able to look into this and find a solution. I am not home so I can't revert back to 1.1.4. And unfortunately their proposed fix for 1.2.1 breaks Tapatalk's ability to view threads due to an incompatibility it causes with the addon we use to filter out many spammer sign-ups.

It's interesting that it seems to be a gradual degradation. Perhaps a cache thing

That was the only thing that I noticed but I haven't since. Maybe the double post was a mistake on the posters part and my error could have been an issue on my end?

What are the odds? Just as I post this into this thread I got the attached error.....

There was a delay after pressing the 'Post Reply' button on the above post followed by that pop up. Maybe that was something on my end? IDK. I'm not that computer savvy.

I had posted into another thread a few minutes before this without error.

This is definitely the Tapatalk plugin causing the problem. It's the same issue that started popping up before.

I just got that same error and then it double posted. It's no big deal for me but I'm sure it'll get figured out.

My first post today.NFL week 9 thread and got this error message then it doubled the post?

An exception occurred: Mysqli prepare error: MySQL server has gone away in /home/racing/public_html/library/Zend/Db/Statement/Mysqli.php on line 77

I will see if I can get a Tapatalk developer to come look at this setup specifically. They seem to be experiencing no issues with 1.2.1 when they tried to replicate it.

Line 115 is fine, if it weren't then things would be way more broke than they are now :p..something about Tapatalk 1.2.1 is interacting badly with this forum, and I've seen it happen at one other site before, who also had to downgrade to 1.1.4 to get rid of the problems. My guess is it has to do with the push notification support that came with 1.2.x. If you're replying to a thread that somebody with Tapatalk has subscribed to, it sends them a push notification to their device. To send out a push notification, I'm guessing it has to contact Tapatalk's server to let them know, and if that takes some time, well, our MySQL server here doesn't wait around forever for the PHP script to finish up, so that's where the database error comes in.

We are now testing a new version of Tapatalk. They have rearranged some of it so that it doesn't load a certain model, and shouldn't spend so much time sending out the push notification that it loses MySQL.

If the errors persist from this minute forward, tell me again. You don't have to screenshot or paste the error unless it's different from the one shown above.
