Graham Rahal says the cars are a handful. I'm assuming the cars still have less downforce than the Indy and Fontana aero package and they have to brake in the turns here. Don't know if that means it'll be a good race or a bad race.

They look pretty racey to me. And fan favorite Will Power is on the pole.

Not THIS fan's favorite, but I get your point. He's not even Penske's most popular driver. Probably ahead of JPM, though.

If anybody has a link for a free stream, you shall achieve hero status

Thread title should be "IndyCar at Texas 2014".

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. I shouldn't be allowed to post in the middle of the night.

Joke. :) He's taken a lot of flack by fans on sites I lurk for being an "innocent bystander" to so many incidents this year.

This should be up later: http://www.justin.tv/besweeet67

This is my home track, so I'll probably watch.

Hopefully NBC understands the concept of a metro area with two metropolis anchors, and understands that one metropolis anchor does not represent a different metropolis anchor. NBC better choose Fort Worth if they choose to show off a skyline or city.

EDIT: They remember the city they're in so far. :)

Should be a good race, I don't have a clue who will win it though. Don't give a rat's patoot which city they show though..just the track. :p Wow Paul Tracy has put on some pounds

don't know if tracy would even fit in mario's 2 seater now !
has he been in booth for whole race before ?

Helio is probably going to be a TV color announcer when he's done behind the wheel.

The grandstands don't appear to be very full.
That seems to be the norm for most of the racing series these days. It seems like monster trucks, monster supercross, and of course the Indy 500 is about the only motorsports that seem to come close to filling the grandstands anymore.

Let's wait to see how full they are at the green flag. Texas historically has the best attendance for an IndyCar oval race after Indianapolis.

I like Josef Newgarden. Seems like a nice up and coming American driver. Reminds me of RHR ten years ago. Hope he starts winning races.

Scott Dixon... such a teenager of the 90s... Ice Ice Baby is his favorite song?

It'll be fun to do sort of an "owner's points" calculation at the end of the year and see where the Ed Carpenter/Mike Conway car would have finished if it was driven by one driver.

Robin Miller just got Graham Rahal in the doghouse with Courtney... LMFAO

I will be good and only say she is very very attractive. Now on with the race.

To Graham's credit, I'd probably have a terrible season if I was dating this woman too:

Don't they actually have an entrant's championship? I thought they were aiming for that.

I don't think so, but maybe. I thought they were just trying to keep that Fuzzy's car up in front and in view of the TV cameras.

Actually, he didn't ask her out...she asked him out. That being said, i'm surprised John gave here the night off.:D

I think Paul Tracy's record here was set during practice during Champ Car's 2001 aborted attempt to race here.

I'm not going to lie. As good as Will Power is and has been, if he continues to lead this championship. Can he actually close the deal for once and not muck it up the last three or four races?

They were saying it might be a broken crank...but i'm wondering if it might have been a fuel leak. He wasn't sliding in any oil and they sure cleaned it up pretty fast. Plus, it didn't sound like it blew up.

where did carpenter critics go ? p2 ! oops .....p1 !
