Thank you Jeff Gordon!

People keep saying this. Did Logano get what he deserved? What about Almirola? And it still would have been fine if the championship leader got taken out because of this too (which he almost did)? And so somehow, because Jeff has more talent, more championships, he has somehow earned the right to ignore the black flag and intentionally do what he did?

I'm sure the combined 4 fans wearing their shirts were disappointed leaving the track;) To answer your question....YES!:D

? Did you have a brain fart there ? Lose your GPS?

So you don't see it? I hate to play grammar cop, but "you started the with the" seems to be, uh, somewhat lacking. Started the WHAT with the action? Or else you are really Kid Rock now.

started the with the bang de bang diggy, drop the boogie.

This is way beyond you. You said almost, then I did, and you took after me for it. Drop it dude, you can't even keep up with your own posts much less mine.

Grammar, talking about GRAMMAR. But as poor as yours is, I guess you just can't grasp a comment as simple as that. I know exactly what you're talking about, but since you can't put it down in any sort of legible sentence.......

Yes, this is a nascar forum, grammar is for the other forum.

Oh please...It means NOTHING..I see a fight on the news from baseball or hockey so effing what. I don't watch it because of it

NASCAR doesn't get mainstream media attention. Baseball, hockey, basketball and football do. Hell, it's extremely rare for Daytona 500 highlights to make national news now because the NBA All Star Game is of higher importance to the mainstream media.

Gordon fined $100k, loss of 25 points, probation for PIR incident. CC Gustafson probation; Bowyer CC Brian Pattie $25k, probation

Hendrick Motorsports statement on Phoenix

CONCORD, N.C. – Hendrick Motorsports will not appeal sanctions announced today by NASCAR regarding the No. 24 Sprint Cup Series team and driver Jeff Gordon.

“I’ve always respected Jeff for standing his ground,” said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports. “We also respect that NASCAR needs to police the sport and send a message when situations like this occur. It’s been a great year, and we’re going to put our focus on finishing in a positive way this weekend.”

“I take responsibility for my actions on the racetrack,” Gordon said. “I accept NASCAR’s decision and look forward to ending the season on a high note at Homestead.”

I had really thought that we may see him sit out a race, Jeff that is.

Me too. Atlanta hangover I guess, or nascar doesn't really want to stop the inexcusable wrecking. I would prefer the more subtle 'oops...wink' varity, ecause you can't get away with going all Ape**** out there.

I always paying the bill for payback repairs would go a long way to controlling it. Between Bowyer, Logano and Almirola, Jeff would be writing $200,000 in checks.

What do you think of Kez's penalty for having a phone in the car? Didn't Harvick site that rule after the Daytona 500, and nascar said it was OK?

Bull cr@p

Food for thought , Maybe a better penalty than fines or suspensions would be race penalties, how about making Jeff start dead last or p 43 for the next three races (into 2013). Only allow the team the last pit stall selection and strictly forbid the team from buying a preferred one from a poor team. No lucky dogs or wave arounds either for next three races.

This way his fans and sponsor don’t have to miss a race, but the penalty is meaningful, and makes him think twice about repeating the same crap.

I am prou to say through all of this I accomplished getting my least favorite driver, Hamlin, to block me on twitter! He was giving Ingrid grief for taking up for Jeff, which got a few fans ruffled...he went on o say if you don't like hi. We follow him...I replied and said that is why I don't follow you and you couldn't carry Gordon's driving gloves....i guess he didn't care for that lol..good times...
