The 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500

Love Chris Myers but the amount of times I’ve heard him say the Daytona 500 by mistake instead of the Indy 500 is bad for indycar fans
I've never liked his racing coverage. It's very different from how he covered football. He tosses out off the wall comments and tries to cover them with that 'We kid because we care' crap.

Whatever anyone thinks about Danica, she is still sweet on the eyes.

In hindsight she’s under appreciated. The success she had in open wheel and then transitioning to NASCAR is far better than any woman has even come close to.

Look how bad Jimmie Johnson was in IndyCar as well, gotta give her credit for being a long time mid packer in a stock car

Caio Collet's and Jack Harvey's qualifying attempts have been disqualified.
Collet penalized from 10th to 32nd.
Harvey penalized from 29th to 33rd.
Both must forfeit selected pit positions.
Collet loses the three points he would have received for making the Top 12.

Infractions: Illegal modifications to both cars' Dallara-supplied Energy Management System (EMS) covers, and the use of unapproved hardware on the cover-to-A-arm mounting points.

Wonder why it wasn't caught in pre-tech inspection, or was it changed after that. Would have been nice to see a drawing or pictures.

I realize that Álex Palou is one of the greats, and that is an understatement, but I was hoping for a change of scenery.
This might be copium on my part but I think there are a lot more teams out there that feel better about their race cars than their qualifying package. Pole winners have had a pretty rough stretch the past five or six years too.

Absolutely, I think Andretti and McClaren are thinking nothing but the race. I believe they had their race day setups on for qualifying. Rossi and O'Ward are the ones who trimmed their cars out. Still can't figure out Rahal again at the speedway.

Rossi is being transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

That was rough. Both corners on the left side of the car slammed the wall and then the same side took the secondary impact from Pato after it was already compromised. Huge tire mark on the aero screen where his head would’ve been too. Just some really hard impacts.

When I saw this happen and it was live when I saw it on TV, I was like OMG that was a rough wreck for Rossi. I am not shocked at all that he is getting further evaluation at the hospital. I think better safe than sorry and I am glad he is in good spirits.
