The 19th Brickyard 400

Awww, Rick kissed Chad.

Brad says he needs to make a few less mistakes. That's the first step to getting better.

I'd like to point out, ESPN ran that entire final stint without interruption.

As I said earlier, ESPN got their commercials out of the way early.

Man I'm over the open wheel history lesson today. I say we leave this place to Indy and do some real racing somewhere else. Just not a stock car track......Chevrolet 10 straight though at Brickyard, that's pretty cool:)

Well, junior as the points leader will be worn out before next week comes...

They had just as many commercials, they would go 4 laps then break for a commercial, wasn't impressed. I'd like to see them go side by side the entire time they have Nascar not just for the Chase.

Actually, it was generally eight laps -- and eight laps at Indianapolis is a much longer period of time than five laps at New Hampshire.

It's a one groove track and always has been even for Indy cars.

I was counting 4 -5 laps most of the time, maybe toward the last 35 laps it wasn't.

Commercials are necessary. I wish they were side-by-side. However, IMO, ESPN didn't go overboard the way TNT did. And when ESPNdid miss something while they were at break, they aired a replay, an elementary concept TNT did not understand.

I can't complain about the broadcast.

Sure you can, I know you can. Just do it man...

I don't know if this was mentioned but anyone see those purple crown royal pillows they used when they went to kiss the bricks? lol

and lol at Jimmies daughter not wanting to kiss the bricks loll

I didn't get a chance to see the broadcast but I listened to the radio version. I have to say that the Indy racing crew that broadcast the race today cannot hold a candle to either MRN or PRN. If they could have dropped John Andretti they could have moved up a few notches. I know John comes with the track but he is about as exciting on the radio as the old lady that gives the command at that track. Nepotisim at it's finest.

Good race for the 24,they only lost a little ground in the latter most important stages and they got a top 5 out of a top 3 car today, yippee .

They also ran better than the other car in the class B shop by being faster than Kahne (today). So congrats to all the 24 people, and who knows maybe they will score a top three before the year is done.
