The 48 in Anchorage

My brother-in-law, an electrical engineer, is putting the finishing touches on a new Lowes store in Anchorage. He called from his cell phone this AM to tell me a "Lowes Monte Carlo 48" was just unloaded in the parking lot. I could hear the roar.

Anchorage is 150 miles north but my 13 year old daughter is bugging me for a ride to town to see the car and meet Jimmie Johnson. It was hard convincing her that JJ is not driving the car around Lowes' Anchorage parking lot. :)

If Jimmie is making an appearance, I guess a drive to Anchorage will have to fit in my schedule next week.
 
I bet that if it were the 24 car you would have made the drive:p

Nice to know that Lowes loves Alaska.:)
 
If there is a personal appearance next week for the grand opening, we will take a quick trip to AnchAk. Only 3 hours through 3 mountain passes on icy roads. :rolleyes:
