The Aero Push is Back in Full Effect

The racing hasn't been that bad, but if you look at where we have run for the past month its no wonder there is a lull in the action. After Daytona which is mid season, we went Kentucky, New Hampshire, Indy, Pocono. Kentucky has always had boring racing, NHMS, Indy and Pocono are the flatest tracks that are not short tracks. I thought Pocono wasn't too bad, better than what we normally get.

The next 5 races should be much better. Watkins Glen, Bristol, Michigan, Darlington, Richmond. And now we have a 31st place car to cheer for to try to get in the chase. I'm looking forward to it all personally!

You're right, those tracks aren't the most exciting but the point remains the same. Track position is once again more important than handling or fresh tires. Guys are checking out on the field when they get clean air and stalling out in 15th if they get back in the pack. It's not interesting racing.

I saw cars five and six wide at Pocono messing up the air going to the cars behind them . Cars tried to get by that six wide pack , but just couldn't . Something has to be done .

That 5 wide racing that lasts half of the front stretch on restarts IS pretty exciting Ted, you're right. Maybe we should implement some sort of.... Caution clock.... Yes, a caution clock so we can have MORE restarts and MORE 5 wide fender bangin' action! Yee haw!

Yep. Heck it was there before they ever knew it was there. Well, everyone but Earnhardt. He could see the air. ;)

I think that my own experience predates that of Dale Sr . I remember family trips back in the early 1950's in my dad's old Desoto . We kids would stick our hands out the back window and wonder what made them move around . I distinctly remember saying to Dad , " How you gonna get by that car in front with this aero push? " . Dad said , " Shut up kid !" . So I never mentioned it to anyone again . Great to finally be proven right though .

Besides the rain, Pocono racing has actually been pretty competitive in recent years
