The battle for those final Chase spots

The 34 team has 100% support from Roush the rest of the season. Roush is building the cars and providing all tech support.
The surprising thing about this announcement to me was that Roush was not doing that all along, as when Buescher went to the 34, it supposedly was with that exact arrangement. Turns out the reality was different from the announced plan. But at least the full Roush support is there now. I'd be really surprised to hear Penske is involved in any way. It's a Roush deal, .of Penske.

I'm sure the WG car ready a true FRM car considering the timeline. But come Bristol we should be able to see Chris really has compared to his RFR teammates because that should be a full blown Roush car. And should contend top 15ish maybe better considering the 6 and 17 have been good at Bristol lately.

100% agreed. I thought it was strange that the 34 didn't have full Roush support the moment they agreed to a deal with Buescher.

The satellite gets the level of support they agree to pay for. It makes sense to assume that Buescher's presence influenced the pricing.

Dave Pericak was on the radio shortly after the race win and made it very clear that Ford Racing would ensure that support was increased ... by themselves and by Roush. He specifically referenced wind tunnel time, chassis engineering, engines and simulator time at the Ford facility for the kid.

This may be an interesting opportunity to see how much of performance is the car and how much is the driver. If Buescher goes from pretty terrible to a title contender, we'll have clear evidence of how much investment matters (not that we don't know to some extent already).

The excitement just isn't there since they took the way cool names off the rounds.

They'll ban burnouts next then wonder why no one goes or watches anymore.....

Ever since DW dropped "Boogity" Boogity, "Boogity it ain't been the same.
