The Dallas Cowboys really suck...

jason is going to have to whip the cowboys in line and win some some games or the interim coach will be an ex-coach. the switch had to be made and jason was the best candidate to finish out the season. i hope he does a great job and *maybe* it will become permanent. next up, brad childress joins the unemployment line.

I love this. Wasn't it only a few days ago that Jones said that Phillips would be the coach for the rest of the year?

What's remarkable is that the news of the firing made the news on NPR!

Yeah and think they were being picked to play the super bowl in their home stadium. Think again! The NFC is weak this year. I think the AFC will take the Super Bowl.

Someone needs to fire the general manager now.

They need to clean house and start over.....Garrett isn't the answer and the defensive coordinator obviously doesn't know what he is doing. Special teams isn't much better....

I think this is a good idea. While it is too late to save this season, Jerry Jones has to think about the future of this team. Allowing the current trends to continue would be to further ingrain this pathetic effort and acceptance of losing.

There is a lot of talent on that team, but there are way too many selfish, entitled millionaires to be successful. The old saying is "character wins championships". While there are certainly notable exceptions (who shall remain nameless) it does hold water in most cases. Guys who care more about their stats than they do the team will kill you.

This team will go nowhere till the general manger steps down, case at point Williams was paid 11mil. to leave Detroit where at best he was their 3rd best receiver and was to replace TO. With that 11mil. Jones could have found several young talents with that money and build something for the future, or get some younger talent on the offensive line which one of the oldest in the NFL. Jones needs to hire a real general manager and spend his time just promoting the team and the new stadium. Until he does this team will end up like the Buffalo or the 9ers, lots of talent but losers year after year.

Also does anyone know who the back up for Kitma is? I live in the Dallas area and no one I know knows who the backup to Kitna is as far as we know there isn't one. So who will Jerry put on if Kitna gets hurt?

I didn't know either but here he is.

PRO: With their first pick of the fourth round (101st overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected quarterback Stephen McGee. With Tony Romo entrenched as the franchise's starting quarterback, along with veteran quarterback Jon Kitna to serve as Romo's primary backup, McGee's role will continue to be centered on learning the Cowboys offense as he progresses in the transition to become a pro quarterback. He has demonstrated his athletic ability and is a strong-armed passer with the ability to sidestep the rush and make the throw on the run. At Texas A&M, McGee finished his collegiate career as the school's all-time leader in completion percentage (59.5%) and was second in total offense (7,225), fourth in career passing yards (5,475) and third in rushing yards by a quarterback (1,750).

Right now Kitna is listed as first McGee second and Romo third.

To many millionairs on this team.Jason Garrett is going to get his arse handed to him in NY this week.

The coach isn't the problem. Overpaid primadonas are. Just like the Redskins.

The difference is the Redskins win **** on occasion.
