The effect of instant gratification on NASCAR

Here's what Biffle didn't do...he didn't wreck him, he didn't sucker punch him while he was strapped in his car, he didn't leave his helmet on and act like a tough guy, he didn't pull his hair, he didn't run to his hauler, he didn't send his crew over to fight his battles, he didn't throw anything at him and he didn't cheap shot him to the media

What he did do is go confront him, face to face, like a man should. I honestly don't see how or why so many have such a problem with with that, other than the fact that it was BIFFLE who dared to approach an HMS PRINCE.

The cheap shot was him sneaking up behind JJ while he was being interviewed and violently jerking him around by his collar and getting in his face, he should have been punched in the snoot for that and this isn't about who the participants were It's about what was done by one competitor to another competitor and that equals a cheap shot.

I guess Biff should have got in line behind the reporters and waited his turn?:growl:

This post is a perfect example of unrealistic NASCAR fan expectations. Fans want drivers to show emotion and want rivalries, but the moment a driver does just that Fans jump all over them for not being polite.

It's a no-win situation.

The above post is the perfect example of someone not being able to tell the difference between a face to face fair confrontation with someone and a behind the back sneak attack, but with your avatar of Vince McMahon of the WWE I would expect nothing less.

You, Sir, are 100% correct.

This post is a perfect example of how people miss the whole point of drivers being themselves. The whole idea of drivers being themselves and doing and saying 'stuff' is so we can become involved and decide who we agree with or disagree with. What's your theory? Fans want drivers to show emotion and react so we can all agree with those actions? We already have that, because most avoid doing ANYTHING ANYONE will find fault with.

SMH.....I just don't get this 'you wanted emotion, and now you fault the guy for what he did' line of thinking. WT heck?

That's what being a fan is all about. PLEASE, have the backbone to take a stand on what happened between Biffle and JJ, or stop wasting peoples time with these self righteous sermons about what emotions they should or shouldn't show.

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezus!

Sermon out. :)

I didnt care for the way Biffle acted, but I still like Biff. It just seemed out of character for him, not typical.

Same here, and he sure isn't a tough guy. I think he went and watched some video of that crappy repair job and realized he over reacted.

yeah it was just a love tap that Biff gave Jimmie at Texas. just making sure Jimmie's rear fascia panel was attached

They way some went on about it and the names Biffle was called would lead one to think that he was caught tossing Johnson's kittens in a pot of boiling tar.

The same one's last week hated Johnson, couldn't stand the guy. I guess it is degrees of hate.:D

Nah, doesn't taste like chicken when you boil them in tar.
It doesn't make good flat black top either, the kittens bones are two weak to make a good filler.

Who would have jumped on Johnson if he had punched the biff in the face ???

It still amazes me that Biffle snatched JJ around that hard and up in his face and didn't get punched.

Honestly, I think Johnson is above that and considering he's Mr. Five Time, it evidently pays off.
