I was just going to say that nobody on the forum had three friends they could call to get this vote tied up...and wow ..somebody did.

VoteGate 2012?

The sudden Sr surge smells like someone has multiple profiles.

If you subtract Pettys 12 (?) dual wins, then take away wins where he didn't beat Pearson, Cale or a couple of the other great drivers of his era, he still ends up with 138 cup wins. Factor in that Pettys old model cars broke down at 3 times the rate of the cars Sr's drove, and the King is THE King.

In the first round, one of the polls had 57 votes, some polls attract more interest.

Refer to:

1p. Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, or Terry Labonte pick one as greatest driver.

I hope if someone is messin with ya ,they will fess up before the polls close.

Yep, something smells.

My biggest fear when this game was introduced was that people would vote for Dale on his name and fame. Sure, he accomplished a hell of a lot during his driving days, but for anyone to say that Dale was a better driver than Richard? Oh, well...

Looks like it's Game Over.

There is no need to worry about the vote integrity.

We have a team led by Katherine Harris investigating matters. You can set all worries aside, trust us Katherine Harris will not certify anything questionable.

I don't question the accuracy of the vote count.

I question the sanity of (some/most of) the voters...;)

I voted for Dale but respect both tremendously. As was pointed out in this thread, Richard didn't have the huge multi-car teams to race against for most of his wins.

It's cool. I understand that this is a popularity contest.

Much like in politics, the best guy doesn't always win...

I'm not sure that I'm understanding this then. Are we to vote on the numbers or our opinions of who we think is/was the greatest? If it's simply by the numbers then there was no need to have a vote to begin with. If it was based on our opinions then what the heck is everyone complaining about?
