The Kasey Kahne dilemma

The other situation that's interesting is Penske. I feel like Allgaier would be getting the direct screw job if Penske keeps Hornish over there.

Why? Martin has been competitive and he has a contract. Why should he get kicked out because Hendrick signed more drivers than he can have?

Because he sucks, no longer a threat and he's too old. The geezer is going to pass out from the heat of the car one day.

What an ass of a statement. Care to look at his 2009 stats?

Your right, I'm picking on the wrong Hendrick driver.

Actually Hendrick could do all of nascar a favor and, wishful thinking, fire Jrs slow ass. I'd keep Martin over Jr anyway. Everyone in the world knows Jr is washed up at 35 and is only there because of his sponsor money but how long can an owner look like fool and hang on to that guy. Give him the boot over to Red Bull and teach him a some humility.

If they fire Vickers, RBRT would instantly become the biggest douchebag organization in NASCAR.

this is what i'm wondering, if Kasey is a patch-job to the vickers situation, to keep him out of the car an extra year, or pawn him off completely....

If Vickers is cleared to drive in November or December(its in that timeframe), I cant imagine they would can him. Red Bull has played it pretty loose with its drivers before though.

i haven't heard anything lately on vickers medical situation but i'd guess he won't be cleared to drive until they find out why he had the blood clots and will keep him on blood thinners. de facto no racing for him. doctors don't like to play fast and loose with life threatening medical conditions and will be conservative with clearing him to race. red bull can't assume he will be ready for next year. signing kahne for just a year gives both red bull and vickers more time to get a handle on if vickers will ever be able to race again. he certainly won't if he stays on blood thinners.

As of this past Sunday.....

Brian Vickers continues to tell those close to him he intends to come back next season. The 26-year-old driver has been out of the seat since May. [Red Bull GM Jay] Frye says Vickers will have his three-month check-up in the next few weeks but "his job right now is to get better."
