The Kids Alright

This will probably Joeys last chance at a tier 1 ride. If he doesn't win/make the chase in the 22 he will go by the wayside. You only get so many chances in a top ride.

I'm not so sure about that. Logano's got a huge following, especially with the women. Like Danica, he's not going anywhere if he brings money in.
 
I'm not a Joey Logano fan at all, but being rushed to Cup where he's being mentored by Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch didn't help him at all. Neither of those two drivers are known for being mature or keeping their cool.

I think working with Brad will be great for him. They're already good friends and clearly Brad has what it takes(see 2012 championship) hehe). Brad and Penske both believe in Joey for a reason. A guy doesn't go out and win a cup race and 9 nationwide races in a year if he can't drive. I think Joey's career is going to take off in that 22 car! Hopefully starting in about 5 hours or so. BRISTOL BABY!!!

While I expect Logano's consistency to improve this year, it will take some time to adapt to all the changes he has this year. What is very promising for Penske is the good relationship their drivers have, along with the long history Paul and Todd Gordon have. Todd has an engineering degree and Paul seems to have the imagination and ideas to put it all to good use. I'm interesting to see if any of those final practice experiments pay off.
