Good read........ I always had a lot of respect for Dale Inman..... and have wondered what the rift was that they parted company.... evidently there were no hard feelings........ (well maybe at the time...... but it seems if there were ..... they are gone now..... which is good)........ The Inman /Petty deal is so much like the Knauss/ Johnson deal......

I've thought about the same thing. They had such a good rapport, then *poof*, it was over.

He left Petty to go to driver Dale E., the next 7 time champion. Although their time together was short lived, I'll bet he had a influence on Dale. JMO

Yeah...... but there had to be something underlying at the time ...... you don't just up and leave like that without something being wrong.... I am really glad that it seems whatever it was...... was patched up...... life's too short to hold animosities...... stress and anger eats at you.....

Not sure there had to a rift, maybe just burned out in the same spot, and needed a change.
Maybe more money, who knows?
