He quit. Wow. Maybe we can get one of those manufactured posts on X about how he is showing his kid the right way? Just quit? Okay.
 
Funny as hell. Turned out to be a smart move. Gained 15 positions and a non wrecked car after the rest wadded themselves up. :D

Nothing wrong with that and its a crapshoot. Listening to Blaney's radio they discussed the same strategy running around 20th at the end, but ultimately decided to go for it, almost paid off. The teams all know there's gonna be a wreck.

We have all watched and listened to KB for 20 years. That wasn't strategic. He ragequit
 
Of all the peop0le I would have guessed would be third on this list, Front Row Joe would be down in my desperation guesses.
 
It's a good reminder of back when the racing was wonderful, no aero, everybody could pass, the competition was so much better, everybody raced.. no wait!

Kyle got there a little faster than Harvick. He has more years to go with nobody that is currently racing close.
 
Kyle Busch has always been a fascinating story who proves, at least imo, that mileage is more significant than age.

Kyle never struck me as a generational talent, rather, an all time great talent who was ready compete at a high level earlier in the age curve than others. While he fell off "younger", its more about mileage than age.

He has sort of had a pretty ordinary cup curve that is comparible to a lot of great drivers.

He was a top 3-4 race winner for a decade before finally building to a championship caliber threat, put it together finally for a fantastic 5 year peak, then fell off.

Essentially 15 years of cup racing before falling off gradually in that year 16-20 timeline. The same trajectory of basically every driver great driver who wasnt Jeff Gordon or Denny Hamlin.

One of the 10 greatest to ever do it, and it's tough to watch him struggle. I hope he finds his way back to victory lane before he hangs it up.

I honestly hope he goes and has some low pressure fun some day and races for a Truck championship

Yeah, on the one hand, seeing a guy like Cleetus get into NASCAR in such an unorthodox fashion gives a person whose closest experience to a bonafide race was a little bit of go-karting and a whole lot of sim racing some hope.

On the other hand, I’d like to see him go all of the way and take his time moving up the ladder. Just seems like the “content creator to race car driver” arc would be even more lucrative if he really gets competent or more at (at least) the Truck level… and I’m all for it. Him being successful I think would be a mutually amazing thing for the sport as well as himself.
 
That Crew chief needs to go. Kyle needs a crew chief that's curious not peeved. That is a horrible dynamic and explains a lot.

Sponsoring him doesn't involve dealing with him directly as an employee.

Are you saying you think Rick -would- sign him, assuming there was an open seat?

It's happened before. Hendrick sent Kahne off to race for another team before his contract was up, paid him to race for the other team.
