51 truck won't live long after hitting 280 on the temp gauge. I wonder what the oil temp was.
Crank, rod and cam bearings don't do well with that kind of heat.
 
I had been expecting to turn on the TV & see Kes & Rowdy stinking the place up & they are, just not the way I thought they were going to. Regulars handling business...
 
I wonder why it's been sooo long since Gaughn won a race? I mean it's been like 10 years or something I think, he's the only driver on RCR's truck program that hasn't been to victorylane in the last few years I'm pretty sure cause Coulter won in the 22 truck at Pocono a while back...
 
They're prolly running Mobil 1, it's gonna take a lot more than that to get Mobil 1 to boil.
The oil lives WAY longer than the bearings do.
Or, they may be running JGR oil.

The bearing surfaces meet when viscosity drops too much to maintain enough pressure to keep them separated. Fuel splodes, piston slams down, oil squirts out, and you got galling.
