There's no better way to start off the week...

The conclusion of the 1989 Budweiser 500 at Dover Downs is on ESPN Classic right now. ;)

back in there cars there bound and determain to get it in. Hopefully they can be patient at the start and not tear up half the field like they did a few years ago Chicagoland after the rain delay.

Halfway. This is an official race. And rain is about 5-10 minutes away.

Kyle haters, get ready to weep! Wild Thing leads at Charlotte! :D

Its a long way to the finish. He who has patience will carry the checkered today.

IF the race is called, David Reutimann is leading.

This is a wacky race.

Can someone please shut Dumb and Dumber (Myers and Hammond) up?

Depends on what NASCAR wants to do. It'll take a long time to dry the track after this red cell moves through but they do have lights at LMS.

throw a caution, bring the cars down the front stretch and red flag the race at 3pm ET and have the motors shut off to observe the moment of silence for all veterans.

I woke up to a big boom from the track- was that part of it?

Yep.........maybe someone should tell Tony that is why you race hard all the time.............. just like KB.

Oh you have to race hard to make a decision not to pit? I didn't know that.

That red cell is weakening a lot. I just don't know though.

Even though they have lights tommarow isnt sunday or a holiday so Nascar knows if it goes into the evenining there gonna call it, plus i cant belive FOX is happy that they spent all that time yesturday and today and it might interfere with there prime time schuedual.

So we should call a race at halfway and screw the fans who did stick around out of a potential green flag finish so FOX can air reruns of House and Bones?

I like the way you think. :sarcasm:

THey have called the jet dryers back to the track. There is more rain coming, but it's not anywhere near as heavy as it looked like it was going to be a half hour ago.

So the 24 Hours at Charlotte has just become the 25 Hours at Charlotte, and counting.

I didnt say we should i am saying whats going to happen later when everyone goes to turn on fox tonight there gonna go bannana's when there show isnt on because there still showing a race that could of been called earlier.

Their prime time shows are all re-runs. And they're all avaliable at hulu.com -- so eff 'em.

The radar is iffy. Nobody knows if this big chunk of red will hit or miss LMS.

I don't see them restarting this race until 8 or 9. Nap time.

Looking at the 100km radar, it looks like time to throw in the towel.

Constant storms blowing up out of the south. I doubt they could get the track dried before another one hits.

Think you're right. Put a fork in it, it's done. Rutti Tutti will win, that should over joy Tony,,,,:sarcasm:

Pouring right now here about 15 miles south of the track.

And more to come.

I think more people want the race to end because Reutimann (and not Kyle) is leading than because of the weather.
