This race told us next to nothing about who is ready and who isn't, but it sure dug some holes for for the vapor lock brigade.

After hearing John Derby's explanation of the Kenseth penalty, I can't help but to wonder why that rule is not in effect for the last few restrictor plate races. Oh well, I guess that's for another thread next month.

I thought the rule was only if you were out of gas that you couldn't be pushed on the final lap, which wouldn't affect those races.

The rule is, if applied evenly and fairly, is no assistance of any sort on the last lap.

Yeley on NASCAR radio now pleading his case. Bringing up restrictor plate finishes and assistance. Says rule needs clarified.

That wont get him far, unless he had a restrictor plate installed by mistake.
That would explain his confusion as to where he was racing today. "Chicago was SUNDAY. Aren't we at Talladega"?

I just got home. What a great freakin day.
I was really wondering about my choice to go to the race yesterday about four in the afternoon.
Everyone was talking about Stewart running over a person in the pits... Did anyone see or hear this?
JJ was about to implode on the radio. That cat is toast for this year, IMO.
