NASCAR Scene said:
I think Joe Gibbs should control Kyle Busch. Gibbs never seemed to be a person that promoted doing anything to win, either on the football field or on the race track. If Gibbs can't control Kyle Busch, then NASCAR should.

Folks, look at the bolded statement. This says everything about what's wrong with the Washington Redskins football team, or at the least, what has been the problem. Joe Gibbs didn't do anything and everything to win the game, and the Redskins have lost a lot of games because of it in a sport where winning is the difference between going to the Super Bowl and watching the NFL Playoffs on CBS.

First of all, Joe Gibbs doesn't run everything at JGR.

Second of all, notice now that they are doing anything and everything to win, they're doing just that. Who would've thunk it? Try your hardest to win and you ... win.

Why couldn't he figure this one out last year.

Third of all, Kyle Busch is a dirty driver. But he's also a good driver. Right now he's causing a bunch of wrecks. But he's running FAR AWAY from those who will pay him back, at least on the track. :D

Love him or hate him - Kyle Busch is going to make things interesting, entertaining, and controversial for some time to come. He'll keep it up, as long as he keeps getting the wins to back it up.

There is nothing Kyle has done that needs to be controled. You people need to stop hating on him and stop crying!

Earnhardt SR. wrecked people all the time and everyone loved it. But they all hate Kyle for it. Everyone loves Jr. and he cant drive worth a F...? What gives?

man havent you come full circle.
I think you have finally seen the light :beerbang:

I think most of the bashing is coming from the Hendrick fans.
They thought they were going to unstoppable this year and that idea got all pooped on.

If it were Jr. driving aggresive then nobody would have a problem. I love the fact that Jr. nation hates him. It makes it that much better when Kyle wins. I hope he takes Jr. out on the first lap tonight. Oh wait, he can't, Kyle has the pole position.

I'm not a Jr fan either. :)

Frankly, I didn't like Busch when he was with Hendrick, I'm sure if you search my posts I said it more than once here. I have to admit he's now putting up the numbers to justify his attitude, which is why a lot of Hendrick fans felt like I did.

I don't like Kyle Busch, but he wins. I don't like him because he had the attitude he has now when he hadn't accomplished anything. Now, he's a winner, period. And I happen to agree with some other folks here, if it was Junior, or a Black Chevy with a 3 on the side - most folks would be rooting for him to wreck another car, not complaining about it.

But Sr. didn't whine and cry like a little girl and stomp his feet around when he got wrecked out either.

Kyle dishes it out, but can't take it when it happens.

I didn't hear any comments from Busch after last night's truck race. Did he do his disappearing act again?
Also, wasn't it Gibbs that started that "silent timeout" at the end of NFL games to force the other team's kicker to retry a FG attempt?

AHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!
Dale didn't take it like a man many times when he got wrecked but did indeed stomp his feet, urinate and produce guttural sounds when he was on the receiving end.

But, Dale mellowed with age.

Kyle is 23 years old and has become a winner in the premium NASCAR series in a short period of time. Kyle's success has surpassed his maturity level and temperament. Once Kyle gets a few more years, he will settle down.

Reflecting on personal experiences, recall immature comments and actions I made at the tender age of 23, and think how difficult it must be for Kyle Busch or any driver under the age of thirty, to deal with the stress forced on them by team owners and sponsors with NASCAR looking over their shoulder. Put any of us in the same situation and my guess is, the result might be the same or worse than the immaturity of Kyle Busch.

I didn't like Kyle at Hendrick either. I don't like him now. I wouldn't like him if Hendrick was dominating. He has talent, but he's so ****y and blames everyone but himself. He bugs the hell out of me. Oh yeah... and I'm not that crazy about Junior and I especially dislike Jr. Nation. My husband loves the Kyle/Jr thing because it ticks them off. :D I have to go with him there. LOL

When is the last time Jeff Gordon took blame for anything?

Did you watch any of the prerace coverage before the Allstar race? Jeff was interviewed and he took responsibility for all of his DNFs this year. He came right out and said he caused the Vegas wreck and he said he took responsbility for all of his problems and couldn't blame anyone else. I guess you just put your fingers in your ears when he says things like that or you think he's lying. Can't please you no matter what.

I just block out the RCR drivers' "pleasant" fans from my mind since I really like all of them. They can't help who their fans are. :owquitit: :nyanya: ;) :D

I feel bad for Jeff. We know he's a good driver, I mean you don't win 4 championships because you suck.

Jeff's taken the blame on many incidents. Compared to Kyle Busch, Jeff is a 100% class act.

lol no actually i missed the allstar race.....
In other words: Open mouth, insert foot.

I'm not sure where Joe Gibbs' coaching comes into this. He did win three Super Bowls as a head coach. I know his recent tenure wasn't nearly as successful. But that is mainly due to an owner that wants to play fantasy football with his roster.

His race teams also speak for themselves. He's won three championships as a car owner and has a good shot at another this year.

You obviously aren't a Redskins fan.

They lost A LOT of games by 3 and 7 point margins, usually because they're playing conservatively. The Redskins were on top by 14 points or more in a great many games and still lost.

Yes, the owner has a big part to do with this as well. Daniel Snyder is an ass. He's more interested in making money for himself than he is in seeing his team win something occasionally.

Well Andy You saying something good about Jeff?:beerbang:

Well then.... pfffffffffffffffffft!!!!!!!!!!!! You really need a new avatar because Jeff would never say some of the things you do and I look at it and think... HUH?!! What happend to Jeff?!!!!!!!!!!! It must be his evil twin!!! LMAO :eviltongu:lol2:

:idunno:

I have no reason to hate Jeff. :idunno:

I just don't like him. :p

Yeah, just like a whole lot of OTHER people. Maybe he's just been too successful, eh? ;) I just talked to a guy who's good friends with Kasey's brother and has spent time w/him and Kasey at various tracks, etc., and he also spent time w/Smoke at Eldora. I asked him about Jeff (among others) and he said he was a real racer, earned his way up with his dirt/open wheel, etc. Then he just said, "Oh, I can't stand him!" There I stood in all my Gordon gear. LOL It's ok. We Gordo fans can take it. You have to have tough skin, esp. when you're a Tony fan, too! lol :D

I've felt bad for all you Gordon fans as of late. I've come to admire you guys for all the bullcrap you've taken from other race fans in your lifetime. :beerbang:

I wore my Juan Pablo Montoya hat at Richmond, and I saw/heard all the bullcrap you guys have taken.

Kudos to all you guys. ;)

Jr 3rd in points...2 Nationwide Championships.

How many Championships does Jeff Burton have?

I'm sick and tired of people saying JR cant drive......he was winning races before DEI went to **** 2 or 3 years ago....he's sitting 3rd in points right now and let me remind you its higher in points than the other teams at Hendrick.

He's going to knock off some wins this year and he very well may compete for the championship.

And if frogs had wings the wouldnt bump their ass.

Im sick and tired of Jr living under daddys shadow. If it wernt for his last name he wouldnt have a ride...

And if it wasnt for his daddy your boy wouldnt be sitting in 2nd place in points either, because I dont believe RCR would be where it is today without all the success that SR and RCR had in the 80s and 90s.

you know i have kept quiet for a long time but you are a true ass. i am not a jr fan in fact i really don't like any of them my driver is no longer with us, but you spout all this BS constantly about how bad a driver jr is, didn't your mama teach you any better if you don't like him fine just quit cryin and whining so much about him.

get a clue there are many many driver in cup that would love to have the stats of the driver you say can't drive. granted he is not nor ever will be the driver his dad was and frankly i think he has done everything he can to get out of his shadow

i'll shut up now

Burton started running Cup races in 1993. He has 20 wins, 113 top 5's, 201 top 10's and an avarage finish of 16th. He has competed in 486 races.

Jr has been running Cup races since 1999. He has 17 wins, 80 top 5's, 129 top 10's and avarage finish of 16.2. He has competed in 302 races.

Jr only has three less wins than Burton and the rest of the numbers, other than the top 10's aren't too far off. And he's been in 184 less races than Burton....

Who's shadow has Burton been living under to get a ride?
