This comment says it all (about Ky. Busch and Joe Gibbs)

Burton started running Cup races in 1993. He has 20 wins, 113 top 5's, 201 top 10's and an average finish of 16th. He has competed in 486 races.

Jr has been running Cup races since 1999. He has 17 wins, 80 top 5's, 129 top 10's and average finish of 16.2. He has competed in 302 races.

Jr only has three less wins than Burton and the rest of the numbers, other than the top 10's aren't too far off. And he's been in 184 less races than Burton....

Who's shadow has Burton been living under to get a ride?

Who has more respect in the garage? Who is least likely to be crashed out by another driver? Yeah that's what i thought.

Burton hasn't always had good equipment. Jr. started with it because daddy paid for it. How many of Jr's starts have ended in wreck that he started? I would say a great deal of them. If Burton had been with RCR for his entire career then we would be comparing these two drivers.

But once again here we are. Let us not forget that this thread is about KY Busch, who is also a better driver then the June bug.

What makes you think Jr had good equipment in the cup series at DEI? If you go back and look at DEI's track record in the cup series its not that stellar.

It blows my mind that you say Burton has not had good equipment in his career.....for god sakes he's driven either a Roush or RCR car for the majority of his career...both of those teams give you a chance at winning.

Dont get me wrong I like Jeff Burton and dont have anything against him...but your post are absurd.

I agree. Let's remember this thread is about Kyle Busch. BUT WAIT !!!!!!
Who began the bashing ????? And who took it off topic first ??? And in only the second post of 44 replies on this thread.
Read on.

There is nothing Kyle has done that needs to be controled. You people need to stop hating on him and stop crying!
Earnhardt SR. wrecked people all the time and everyone loved it. But they all hate Kyle for it. Everyone loves Jr. and he cant drive worth a F...? What gives?

And it starts, again with RCR4Life redirecting the topic and badmouthing (nothing new) others. When faced with facts about his fav, realizes he's beat and begins a soft shoe dance, reminiscent of the saying, "if you can't confuse them with bullsh1t, dazzle them with foot work". The grand finale is a reminder, this thread is about Kyle Busch. Is that irony ????? HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Okay, I've watched you post this inane bullcrap for sometime and I've bit my tongue and held back. But, here it goes.

Keep in mind, I'm an RCR fan and I like Jeff Burton. But Burton ain't a Richard Petty. He's had top of the line equipment damn near his entire career and has run okay. He's no Richard Petty and he's no Mark Martin. All things considered, he hasn't been all that. :idunno:

Junyer lost a lot of races being with DEI. I can think of 5 or 6 races he would've won had his engine not blown up or his crew not left a lugnut loose or something. He was doomed to failure with that team, mainly because Teresa doesn't know how to manage a team. She knows nothing about loyalty to drivers, sponsors and knows nothing about commitment to performance. She's got two of the best drivers in her cars and the best they can do is an occassional top 5 here and there (and a win if they're lucky). I remember a few years back, Martin Truex was hyped up as "the real deal" and they talked about how he was gonna win 4 or 5 championships. So far, all he's done is win a race, once.

DEI went down the pipes in late 2004, and they've remained there. If you have Mark Martin and Martin Truex on your team and you can't get more than 2 wins, there is a serious problem and it ain't the drivers. I bet if Junyer had been running for Hendrick last year, he probably would've won just as many races as Jeff and Jimmie. And, this year, he would've won Richmond with ease if the 18 car hadn't Busched him out of the way. Actually, Junyer was faster than Denny Hamlin most of the 2nd half of that race. Junyer's not the best driver, but he's a top-5 driver. I can't say the same about Burton, whom I otherwise like.

I used to despise Junyer. Read some of my posts on here. He's matured a lot as a driver, and he's managed to handle the pressure of being a rockstar. I have to give credit where it's due, and Junyer deserves that credit. He's a class act, 100%. :beerbang:

Kyle Busch is a great driver, and I'd like him a lot more if he didn't open his mouth and insert his foot in it after every race. You wreck other drivers in "racing incidents," you better be able to handle it once in a while when they give it back. It's not a problem right now when your teams' engines are producing more horsepower than everyone else, and it really doesn't hurt when FOX and NASCAR go ga-ga at every little thing you do. There's other drivers that would give that boy something if they had the equipment he had.

Oh snap! :XXROFL:

Well all I know is y'all can say all you want about Lil'E, and Lord knows I'm not one of his biggest supporters, but all I know is it was great seeing the Bud car back in victory lane Saturday night...oh wait...what...he's not in the Bud car this year...ain't it grand...

Here's a switch, let's compare Kyle with Jeff, as I think that would be a nice switch. So who would you say is the most popular? Who would you say is the most talented?

Jeff could surely be one of the most popular drivers in the garage because of his demeaner. If he ever wins the title, his stock will surely rise and rise quickly. He is eager to talk to the press and his work on safety issues makes him more than just a driver. He's not an overly aggressive driver and he's a damned good one as well. And not hurting him is that fact that his brother is Wahd Burton.

Now for Kyle. His antics on the track have made fans boo him the likes of which we haven't witnessed since Jeff Gordon began to take away the fans from Earnhardt the senior. He is brash and isn't afraid of the negatives thrown his way from the crowd. He seems to thrive on it. He is a very aggressive driver and has proven that his talent, even though it might be a bit raw at this point, is well above the average joe out there on the track. I don't think he cares of the press talks to him, but knows that if he is in a controversy, or finish in the top five, he has to talk, so he does. And he seems to have taken over the title of "bad boy" from his brother Kurt.

Man, these two are as different as night and day, something akin to Earnhardt the senior and Jeff Gordon.

It was also a non-points event.

Don't forget Junyer won the Shootout and one of the twin races.

I wonder what Kyle's gonna do when Joey Logano enters Cup Series racing and Kyle's no longer the boy wonder at Gibbs.

Lagono is pretty good, but you never know untill you hit the cup ranks just how good he is. Right now he has the best stuff out there, but when he enters NASCAR. he will have equal stuff, it does make a difference. Duane

If Andy wants to drink the Logano kool-aid who are we to discourage him. I mean a lot of drivers did great stuff in other series to fall flat on their face in Cup. And then some nobody can come in and really tear up the tracks.

I think ARCA's a bad place to compare him. There were a few drivers who possibly could've given Logano a run for his money in the Carolina 500 that wound up in an early accident. Logano, Annett, Stenhouse, they're all development drivers with solid backing. I don't think (although I don't know too much about their careers, hope to talk to Logano at Dover if I go) any of them have had any bigtime hurdles or setbacks either. For cripes' sake, Erin Croker posted several top-5 finishes. Not taking anything away from them though, Joey Logano's talent is undeniable.

Either way, the ARCA races have been very boring this year.

It also sucks when you're driver is stuck back in the 15th position (and posting better finishes every week) and not getting any airtime  good ole' SPEED.

Who says I'm drinking any kool-aid?

The problem Logano's gonna encounter is that he's going to have to win and post top-5's pretty damn quick. There's an extremely high expectation level for him, and he's going to fade quicker than Casey Atwood if he doesn't meet those expectations.

But, but didn't you say he's going to be the bestest EVAR!!!!one!juan!!
That when he retires after getting bored by winning the championship every year after winning all 36 races every year that all motor sports will cease to exist as what's the point after Logano leaves the sport...

Um, no.

Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, David Pearson and Jeff Gordon are the best ever.

As far as Logano's concerned, don't really care. Once he turns 18 and starts running in Nationwide and Spitcup, we'll see how good he is. Right now, the only ARCA driver I cheer for is Alli Owens in car #12, and she's running a limited schedule anyways.

LOL at Andy. That is funny.:D

You need to add kyle busch to that list...

He has won no championships and only has a handful of Sprint Cup wins. Y'all Kyle Busch fans are very premature in calling him one of the greatest ever.
