THREE DAY RACE WEEKENDS

I’m assuming this has to do with the safety of the fans as well as the crews. Especially in today’s age where the crazies come out more often.

I am sure that is what they say, but then you have the Hot Pass/Hardcard folks strolling wherever they want to go during practices...I believe they limit access to preserve the value of those passes, and this is where I have a problem. We need to get back to making things awesome for everybody instead of for the few--especially for those who understand and appreciate the access.

This is like saying that court side seats should be available to everyone. Things cost money. Cooler things cost more money.

Honest question, how does one go about buying a hotpass for a cup weekend? Because the time I tried, I was told that that was not an option. I'm willing to pay a hefty premium for it, but it wasn't available to purchase.

I always though hot passes were for family members of teams, sponsors of teams, sponsors of that particular race, sponsors of NASCAR, potential sponsors of teams, potential sponsors of NASCAR and big wig/high rolling customers of said sponsors. To my knowledge I thought They’ve never been for purchase when I’ve gone to a race but maybe wasn’t aware of it

I don't have a problem with cost. The kind of access we are talking about is about exclusivity. You cannot buy what we are talking about, and that is the issue. Additionally, other forms of motorsport have seemed to make it work, where NASCAR and all of its access we always hear about hasn't done that. I feel like the new way of looking at race weekends opens a door to better access. Again, bring the crews in early, open the garages on Friday, lock it down on Saturday if necessary (for Truck or Xfinity races) reserve garage access Sunday for the pretties. Spare me the conversation about hotel costs for the teams coming early.....the teams are still saving tons, and we all know that whatever they are saving by not being on the track is being dumped into sim stuff anyway.

You really can't. You have to be "sponsored" by a team, sponsor, etc. Having said that, I know that Michigan used to offer a high dollar package that includes a Hot Pass.

Well, I don't have that kind of money lol. Although I wonder what an associate sponsor on a RWR car is going for? Hmm...

All 2018-2020 pre Covid...I have bought thru the track at Watkins Glen and Ebay from a couple of different teams. Usually about $500 each.

Really? They could get into a ton of trouble doing that I think....
