Time to dump The Chase

Gonna be honest here. First time NASCAR described the chase in 2004 I thought that the last 10 races were only going to feature the cars that qualified for the chase. Only 10 cars on the track for 300 laps? Makes sense but it's the stupidest ****** thing is ever heard of for the sport. Then I realized ALL the teams would be competing in the playoffs , even the disqualified ones. At that point I lost all faith in humanity.

I have never liked the chase...but it ain't going anywhere....
 
I like how people are saying the chase will never go away and is here to stay.

Is this not NASCAR? Where rules change week to week? I mean the chase format has seem several changes already.

In a few years they'll make some more accomodating the top 20 until they just finally say everyone's in, dig in.

It won't go away when Brian France has hedged his entire legacy on it. After all the bitching the old boys did about it when it started he's not going admit his crown jewel was stupid and go away with his tail between his legs.

I thought about that but the more I did the less sense it made. lol

Having the previous champion automatically in would be cool in my opinion.
 
Yeah when Brian's sis kicks him out..she will make changes.:p She has already taken over Daytona:rolleyes:

If its anything like this years 500 I'd only watch the last 5 laps.

The first few years of the chase, they'd expand it just to accommodate Jr. Now they'll have to accommodate Danica & just expand it to a 43 car chase & give her a handicap
 
The chase is already too big . They keep adding more spots to appease fans which is stupid . Like adding an extra spot this year to get Gordon in , how could they go back to twelve next year ? I say go back to ten and leave it there .

It wouldn't surprise me if one day Brian decides something like the season will be broken up into 4, 8 race segments, with the winner of each segment running for the cup in the playoffs in the final 4 races.

I don't like the chase but it could be worse.
