Is anyone else having a problem with the audio "skipping" or "repeating" during the race broadcasts? The last two races from TNT have had this issue for me a few times in the first 30 mins or so then all is fine. No issues with video, just audio. Could be my DVR but I find it a strange coincidence that its only happened twice, both last week at Pocono and this week at Michigan.

Everyone's had that problem. As if TNT's coverage wouldn't be a clusterphuque. They're lame ducks now, just waddling and quacking through their final six races that they didn't even want to air anyways.

Thanks for the quick response. I was worried I had some sort of satelite/audio/dvr/hdmi/tv/never gonna fix it/good luck duplicating it for the repair man type problem. lol

Sorry I was being sarcastic as that was Fender's solution for fixing the ticker problem...

That ticker was, somehow, worse than FOX's silly graphic. I hope ESPN doesn't try to outdo FOX and TNT. Although, their Indianapolis 500 is usually a precursor of how they approach NASCAR. If it was this year, it's going to be a long stretch because they're also lame ducking it.

that's what i thought about when i read it..LOL....it's all good.

TNT was begging NASCAR to have FOX or NBC take the Summer Series off their hands this year and they didn't make it happen. Fail.

They did make it happen. TNT struck a deal with Fox Sports 1 to air the Summer Series and ESPN struck a deal with NBC to air the remainder of the season. Went as far as Daytona Beach before NASCAR nixed it.

Yeah, I meant NASCAR didn't make it happen. Mind-boggling as to why. TNT's disinterest is showing pretty badly.

Didn't want to set a precedent where they let networks out of their contract early. Let's say that, I don't know, four years from now, FOX decides they want out of NASCAR and they're going to dump the remainder of their contract on MAVTV. If NASCAR had let TNT and ESPN out, they'd be in a box where they'd have to let FOX or NBC out down the road if either network wanted to exit prematurely.

maybe kyle and wally will get caught in a loop next week of:

Assuming this year will be the same as the past few years, I'm looking forward to ESPN. They are the least bad of the 3 networks, and they have the best scoring banner.

Mute the TV and log on to MRN. No BS clichés from the booth goons, no antiquated tech talk from Larry Mac, no goofy Michael Waltrip...Problem solved.
The TV and radio broadcasts don't synch up though.

Nah, it can't be that far off. I'm gonna time it this weekend just to find out if I'm FOS.

It was definitely two or three cookie-cutter laps.. Just short of 90 seconds maybe haha

Edit: never knew full of **** was an acronym. Thank you for that! Definitely adding it to my repertoire.

I've heard of people doing that, but honestly, MRN is a gigantic ball of corny, self-indulgent crap--with the exception of Barney Hall. Seriously, their pre-race interviews have dentist office music playing in the background for effect---It's painful. Sounds like a high school production. Corner announcers are so freakin' self-absorbed it's unreal. They let their calls override what is actually happening on the track in the name of drama....and when they then respond to callers stroking them on NASCAR Radio, it actually makes me vomit in my mouth just a touch....Moody and Bagley are pretty sure that they are the deal, but maybe not so much.

MRN is horribly overrated, not because of the music or announcers but because of how much time, during green flag racing, is spent interviewing CEOs of corporations, presidents at other ISC tracks and so on. And the amount of commercials on MRN (and PRN to a lesser degree) make FOX and TNT look like NBCSN Nonstop. I had MRN on during the Southern 500 and actually had to turn it off and listen to FOX instead.

It's so backwards. Those interviews that MRN does would be better suited for TV where they can continue to show what's happening in the race.

One good thing about TNT, they usually have a very good feature about something interesting during the pre-race coverage.

I like TNT's coverage and announcers, and their "Countdown to Green" is far and away the best pre-race show. The audio glitches are annoying but they don't last long.

Delay the video to sync with the audio on PRN or MRN.

Problem solved.
