This Sunday, the new episode of the program will feature the Sprint Cup Series Race Control at the Lowe's Motor Speedway for the Coke 600. NASCAR Confidential uses a point-of-view perspective and will show the crews setting up, the race control in action and then the crews tearing-down the "nerve center" for NASCAR.

I didn't catch it (see my other thread for why) but ever since working down at the Maryland international raceway park, I've got to say these calls aren't always right, but I'll side with NASCAR a lot more now.

I've seen how things work down at the international raceway park and can say it's a lot easier for us to criticize NASCAR on a lot of things sitting at home watching the race on a 32" LCD HDTV but we're not in the control tower so we don't know what we're talking about.

agreed. very informative. they should do that more often...like maybe once for each type of track- got lowes, do a plate race, a short track, and a road course. It's like nascar 360, but for the control center and officials.

I would have loved to see it. I'll have to check my guide. Maybe I can set the VCR to catch one of those 4AM showings when they sometimes repeat things. Going to check right now.

Well that was quick. They are reshowing it at 4AM. Time to set the VCR!

I think the most interesting thing was at the very end --- less than 48 hours after the 600, the crew was beginning the setup in Dover.

Those criticizing NASCAR for a lack of opportunity for women and minorities should watch this program. Though not in the public eye, they are doing very important jobs to keep the show rolling.
