Top 5 Threats

Who do you think so far are the top five drivers to watch after?

Here's my list.
1. Dale Jr.-May be biased cause i'm his fan but three consecutive top 2's? With a win? Self explanitory.
2. Brad Keselowski- Penske cars have been fast so far. A win and a couple top 5s. I expect him to be inthe final four later.
3. Kevin Harvick- Really fast cars so far. Running up front. Freaky Fast! lol
4. Joey Logano- Penske cars have been fast and he's been up there. Had a pole. I expect to see him win within three races.
5. Carl Edwards- Think he's had good vehicles. Could get a win soon.

Whay are your top 5?
 
Carl hasn't shown any particular strength whatsoever yet so that's puzzling to see you have him at the 5th spot.

I would say Jr., Harvick, either of the Penske guys.

That's it. I dont think there are many threats with just 3 races in the book.

I want to say though, Jimmie doesn't look like himself yet. He hasn't even led that many laps this year.
 
Threats for what? A championship? Or wins?

JR, Harvick, and the Penske boys seem to have something figured out thats for sure - but Gordon and Edwards have had nice starts as well. I am keeping my eye on JR and Harvick to keep up this speed. I still can't figure out how the 4 team can be so "freaky fast" while the rest of SHR can't get out of their own way so I am waiting for the other 3 to catch up or Harvick to fall off.

Edwards has been up there somewhat. Just needs to stay up there.

Wow , two of them are on my bold prediction entry.
 
Jr, Harvick and Penske. Haven't seen anything from Toyota or RCR( besides Menard today) and not sure what the hell is going on at Roush. It is early though. Most of the time there is some teams that don't catch on til later in the season.

Jr definitely has the momentum. I'm expecting him to run well at Bristol as well as Fontana.

I would take Carl Edwards out and replace him with Kyle Busch. I think he will be there in the end. Also, Kenseth is off to a slow start but I think he might get jump-started and replace Logano on that list.
 
Way too early to tell but I expect some good things from JGR
The teams with the early advantage dont worry me much
1--Kyle Busch
2--Brad k
3--Kenseth
4--Hamlin
5--JJ

It's definitely too early to tell, but from what I've seen...Tony & Danica seem like they are gonna be tough to beat! ;)

In all seriousness though, I'd have to go with, in no particular order...

Kyle Busch
Jimmie Johnson
Jeff Gordon
Matt Kenseth
Brad K

Possible Dark Horse would be Ryan Newman

There are probably another 5 who could be included with the usual suspects.

SHR seems to have some serious problems. Yeah Harvick has been fast and already has a win, it's going to be boom or bust with that team every race though.

Danica appeasement selection, at the request of swampy. Nobody want's swampy to put up a big stink.

Joey will do well, but he still has some things to learn. I see him getting knocked around this year.
 
Well HMS and Penske each have two drivers in the top 4 in points... so them and Harvick.

Without some issues for Harvick and Jr running out of gas either of them could easily have two wins right now. You can't go against that. JJ hasn't shown race winning speed but he's had high finishes each week but is over shadowed by Earnhardt ( :D ) .. and it's kind of hard to go against the Penske guys that swept the front row two weeks in a row and finished in the top 5 each of those week and are 2 of the 3 guys who have led laps in every race so far.

Others have shown some speed here and there but not race winning, stand out speed like these guys.

So IYO the only drivers that are capable of posting a top 5 finish these days are the three drivers that have done it so far this year? o_O

No.. Im saying that the guys who have been fastest are the biggest threats.. o_O Im confused... everyone says the same people pretty much... but ur criticizing me for it? Why because I gave examples of the obvious reasons these people are considered the biggest threats by pretty much everyone?

While these guys have run well for the first three races , it's really early yet and Jimmie is the elephant in the room that nobody wants to mention.

I think JJ is just hangin' back, letting others have a little spotlight time. Kinda like last year when made the chase early and had fake troubles for awhile, till the chase started. Then, he decided it was time and dominated. I expect something similar this year.

He's been dog crap ever since they got out of Daytona. Not impressed.
