Toyota-Save Mart 350-Sonoma Race Thread

I think this will be a barn burner, hope they have plenty of cameras in the carousel turn, going to be plenty of booting going on in that place.

not a word about Ambrose. I think Petty has put the heat on and Ambrose is going to drive like he is on fire

Hamlin is desperate - again - so look out for him making some crazy moves.

Dear Darryl Waltrip,

Please cut down on the Red Bulls. :)

*** I muted the anthem...

Need to get military people to do the anthem, not star search hopefuls. Somebody needs to bitch slap that goof.

Here is a recent radar loop. The race track is just south of the circle between the town of Sonoma and the northern end of the bay.

Side note: Not sure why it's not listed, but San Francisco is just west of Oakland if anyone cares.

The carouse is no longer being used, although I wish they would. I assume you are referring to the esses which is the higher speed area of the track.

I must say that I'm quite curious to see how Kenseth does with the #20 on a road course - not that I ever blamed his lack of road course ability on RFR cars.

Rain drops on the camera already. No way they make it to half way.

assume I am talking about turn 11.

Damn I had already nominated Victor Gonzalez for trying to pass while on the warm up lap in qualifying, he hasn't even made the race yet and he is wrecking. BONEHEAD

Drivers talking about excessive rain on their windshields...why are they even pacing right now?

better not rain this thing out, I'm pumped and ready to watch it.

51 isn't going to be hitting anybody today sitting on jack stands.

They said it was the fluid on pit road that was delaying the start of the race. I'd say it may be the water on the track

11 seems to be where most of the punting goes, 7 and 11 are the two tightest turns.

IndyCars are racing flat-out at Iowa on ABC if you're looking for some racing to watch. :nyanya:
