Dirt.........give us a dirt track to really test our drivers!!:calpping:

Nashville would be a great track to see the Cup cars on. It is a very unique track (1.3 mile concrete tri-oval) that has had some good Busch and Truck races in the past. They could race at the track at night or during the day since they have lights.

Burke Lakefront Airport where they hold the Cleveland Grand Prix. But then, I probably just like road courses because Jeff usually does very well there. Or it could be because mixing in a few right turns makes things interesting.

Seriously though, if they ran dirt or anything else, we would have a whole new group of "specialists" along the lines of Boris Said. And who needs that? Then again if it got Sarah Fisher to run a NASCAR race then it wouldn't suck:eek:

Another short-track, we have to many of these cookie-cutter shaped tracks.

Get a little dirt 4x and we may intice our own Rallygirl to come race........she runs on dirt.:)

I don't get the whole dirt thing myself. I've only really tried to watch it once. But, it didn't turn my crank.

Yes you will. You'll probably have a black face by the time the evening is over. And if you wear contacts, be very careful :)

Of the obove choices? Nashville, but only if they race at night.

well I said in the other thread Kentucky, but when you add the road course thing :D

i want it to come to the Kentucky speedway...my college is close to it...

Nashville Fairgrounds is out of the question. That track is in terrible shape, the facilities are woefully inadequate, there is no parking available, access for fans and teams to the track is non-existent...and it sits squarely in the middle of Vine Hill Housing Project! Not exactly the place I want to take MY family. And trust me on this, I lived in NashVegas for years and my job took me into Vine Hill often. NOT a nice place.

Nazareth is a difficult track that takes a little more skill to get around than your typical oval track. I love watching the Busch cars race there, maybe one day we will see Cup race there.

A big problem is there are no hotels in the area to accommodate enough people for a Winston Cup race, one of several reasons why it has been kept off the WC schedule.

I think we need another roa course.. i mean with sears point of the schedual we only have watkins glen... i love watching them go around so many turns:)

That's my vote. I hated to lose our season tix to those races. We had great seats at the end of turn 4, high up. Easy access and close to home. :(

They renamed it to Inferior...I mean Infenion Motor Speedway.

You were right the first time TWF!!:)

Kentucky is a great looking track. But I pick Nashville because it is on 170 mi away from me.

Kentucky .. a 1.5 mile tri-oval.

Yeah, we don't have any of those on the schedule now!

Winston Cup definitely could use more short tracks.

I would love to bring back North Wilkesboro.

I was just really getting interested in racing when they stopped racing there, and I've had to go back and watch old races to see what that track was like. It looked like a fun track, and it's a shame they couldn't keep their facilities up-to-date, as I think it was the reason why Nascar left.

Good Poll :) (just like Paul said)

i would go with Kentucky, Nashville,

But the redneck i am i picked "Dirt Track" Now that would be kool,

but is there a dirt track for 43 cars at one time, or would they do heats and mains?

NASCAR left N. Wilkesboro because other people bought them out. Bruton Smith bought half the track, and moved a race to Texas Motor Speedway (NASCAR never "gave" him even one date). Then Bob Bahre bought the rest of the track, and moved 2nd race to NHIS. That left N.W. without a race, and it's been grown over by nature ever since. It's a shame, because I loved the racing at that track; your tires were about completely worn through in 75-80 laps, which led to a lot of slippin' and slidin'.

That's a real shame. It's always about money, never about good racing. It would be nice to have the trucks or the busch series still race there, but that track would cost more to repair at this point than it would to rebuild.

Definitely NOT dirt. I;d rather see thenm race in rain on the asphalt to avoid long delays!

They either need to add two more road courses or take the 2 thats in there out. 2 races of one type during the whole season is rediculous.

the most interesting format would be to visit different road tracks each year. the fact that nascar drivers are supposedly the best drivers in the world would be better demonstrated if we could see them on tracks such as road atlanta or road america.

sonoma is getting tired.

No one says that NASCAR drivers are the best in the world except for uninformed fans.

Ask any driver in any style of motorsports where the best drivers are and I bet you all of them would tell you Formula One.

Poll is closed, but I say Nazareth....and Paul, everybody knows Drag Racers are the best racers in the world.

That may be true too, but I think we can agree that the best drivers in the world aren't NASCAR drivers.
