Travis Pastrana to recreate Evel Knievel stunt live!

A v-twin flying through the air is the most American **** ever.
 
I remember when Evel would come on wide world of sports and talk up the jump.

Then the next week just before the jump he would be so somber and serious, talking about having made his peace with God.
It was real life drama, that you just could not predict.
 
When Evel made that failed jump at Wembly he lumbered up the ramp all busted up and told everyone he was done.
He was seriously injured and had all the just inflicted body trauma but he still made the speech anyway.
He was a badass and tough as they come.

It’s worth noting that Evel’s daughter even commented that she was disappointed in Harley Davidson and Triumph, the bike brands her father rode, for not stepping up to present this event. She was happy, however, that Indian Motorcycles stepped up to the plate.

Well there is the reason he rode that Indian motorcycle.

Notice that the Indian is water cooled ....... Indian has stepped up in more ways than one.
