Truck RACE thread --- Charlotte

Watching the way these trucks race each other compared to the cup cars is like night and day. The trucks can run extremely close without getting bent out of shape, they can run side by side with ease, they can actually RACE without aero taking over. Kind of like the cup cars 20 years ago

Yeah it's a pretty happy medium between the All-Star aero and the normal Cup aero.

Now, Johnny Sauter, on the other hand... is the true competition really for the Truck Series title, or does the true competition lie in seeing how many superlatives you can apply to Johnny Sauter's last three seasons in Trucks, let alone this year...

Complains about the "horrendous" splitter....says the trucks can't pass/race in traffic or come within 5 lengths of one another......LOLOLOLOLOL what color is the sky in his world?

Nascar took away his tweaked out Toyota Factory splitter this year. Now Nascar hands out a flat splitter. Amazing what he comes up with after he passes the field twice, dumps one of his own trucks (that was faster than him again) and there is passing all over the track all night long. :D:p

He's such a loser.

How can anyone root for this clown? How?? I don't want to hear jack about the cell phone recorded fan interactions. He time and time again proves himself to be a sour human being.

Complete a-h.

Why are none of these posts about Kyle being deleted? I make posts defending him or calling another poster a goober and race lady deletes them. Sounds fair

Tbh, I think the lack of seat time has hurt him a lot. He's just not as acclimated to the trucks like he used to be.

Hamlin better watch out, Kyle is going for entertainer of the year award.

With all due respect, and I really mean that in a positive way as @2 Sweet is a long-time positive contributor with many insightful posts, but this statement is completely wrong, IMO. I enjoy the truck races, but that is racing dumbed down to the junior varsity level. And it is very much a product of aero taking over. Nascar trucks have drag like a barn door and very high downforce, combined with low power. A formula like that for racing at the highest level would be completely bland and unsatisfactory.

Cup racing is big-time racing. It ain't supposed to be easy. It is supposed to be a contest of skill that separates the contenders from the pretenders. And that requires a serious amount of off-throttle time and braking. It requires the drivers to work hard to get back on the gas early and get drive off the corners. It requires a real speed differential between mid-corner and straightaway... which the trucks don't have. I am a strong supporter of Nascar's move in recent years to put the race back in the hands of the drivers at the cup level.

What's wrong with what he said? I'm not being facetious it's a genuine question.

you might be better served watching formula one. Stock car racing is stock car racing and the trucks with the changes Nascar has made this year has made for a highly competitive series that is exciting to watch.
