Truck RACE thread --- Gateway

Bell screwed it up, he had two tires and he couldn't get around Crafton with none. Nemo with two could and did. Bell wasn't done, tried to pinch off Briscoe who had four fresh ones and paid the price there.

Very happy to see JHN get the win. The kid has had some rough luck. It was clean, too. Good win after a stupid caution.

Seems like they are struggling financially as well. Joe said all of their races are not covered, it's crazy considering historically how Joe has done so much with so little.

Won an Xfinity championship and so many truck and xfinity races. To see him struggling is a sad sight because NEMCO has been around for so long. Would be a terrible day to see him shut it down.

It's criminal that a top owner hasn't snatched up JHN. Barely has the budget to make the races. Yet goes wheel to wheel with the best and has won 4 times.

Chris Knight said that JHN was touted to go to Penske, but the sponsor dropped out at the last second.

This is probably why that rumored second car never came to light in Xfinity.

I disagree with the late caution. A truck was dead on pit road, what would have happened if something like another Peters wreck happened and it went sliding down pit road...and what if there were 4 or five guys pushing the dead truck?

Best thing John Hunter can do is to continue to make good choices, and don't stick your nose in there unless it is on the last lap or something close. Get what he can out of the truck when it is a top 5 truck don't over drive it..you are in the PLAYOFFS!!!

Send the tow truck out and push the pos behind the wall. It would take all of about 20 seconds. Nothing and no one would have to go anywhere near the cars at speed.

The thing is, Nascar can't rewrite their race procedures in the middle of a race. If they did that, the Nascar haters would burn down the internet (and rightly so IMO). We keep asking for consistent application of the rules and procedures, and that is what Nascar did in this race.

on a different note, anybody that thinks Nascar isn't going to throw a caution for the least excuse in the closing laps of a race has about a 5% chance of being right that they won't. The guys paying for the show (advertisers) do not like to miss a chance with everybody paying attention. That is the way it is, like it or not. I'm surprised that they waited as long as they did and they didn't throw it when the truck was down rolling on the bottom of the track
