Truck RACE thread --- Kansas

FS1's Truck Series coverage really is terrible. Shame that the best national touring series in the country gets the worst television coverage.

Let’s get us a yellow and really make this sh1t good

Looks like last week gave Gragson the wake up call he needed. He’s a threat the rest of the way.

Stewart Friesen says he used to drive a water truck at the track his family owned and it didn’t have a shifter knob either, so that restart was no problem for him. He thinks the shifter knob must have gone under the seat or something.

Stewart Friesen came out of SiriusXM interview room and walked up to Kyle Busch on the podium to apologize. Not sure Kyle was feeling it though; didn’t seem thrilled.

Kyle Busch on Noah Gragson: “He proved to his competition he’s not a fluke, and that he can come out here and do a job.”

Good race with quite a bit of passing in the field. Sucks that two of the trucks that had cars that could contend for the win had problems. Also tested out my new noise reduction ear muffs and they worked great. First time ever I havent had ringing ears after a race.

Gragson had the horseshoe tonight, full timers Friesen, Rhodes, and Moffitt had fast trucks. Gragson didn't make any mistakes and they all did.

I think Moffitt would have had it, honestly.

Hattori has had some rocketships this year.

I think most of the fans know the difference between who was a full time truck driver, and who is a cup driver racing in the truck series even if the press doesn't know.

God I wish the cup cars could race like these things do.
High downforce, high drag, and low power. That makes an entertaining race at the minor league level, but I want Cup races that are more about skill... and the higher the degree of difficulty, the better I like it.

I think you will see a Cup version of that formula next week at the All Star Race. I'm open minded about that experiment to deal with a race track that has a particular and extreme problem, like the notorious single groove at Charlotte, but a steady diet of that would be bland and unsatisfying, IMO.

so your saying the truck race at Kansas was bland and unsatisfying and the trucks take a lower degree of skill? I think you left the driver talent out of the equation. Probably will see the difference at the All star race. I believe I will hold my judgement until I see it happen.

Plates are the answer to everything

Just watched on DVR...Another great race, was hoping Friesen would pull it off. Hope this is it for KDB this year...and maybe forever in trucks. It is no place for him to race.
