Truck Series at Phoenix

That was a great truck race, and nice win by Erik Jones! :beerbang:

Camping World Trucks has a new fan!

Just finished this race. First of all. Thanks FS1... College basketball? Really?

Second of all.. Hard hit for Hornaday. Glad he's alright.

Third of all.. Bubba has no one else but himself to blame for that one.

and of course. Wow this Erik Jones kid is amazing. What a drive. That truck is fast but damn he earned it.

The Hornaday crash was the worst hit to the wall I've seen in years. It didn't look like he scrubbed any speed before he hit. And a vicious angle.

Thank God for the softer walls and the HANS. That could have been very bad.

We better get used to it. Soccer gets higher ratings in the United States on NBCSN than NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing gets on ESPN and ABC. Let that sink in.

Huh? I think you flunked math.

ESPN’s average viewing audience for MLS dropped from 311,000 in 2012 to 220,000 this year.

NBC’s average, meanwhile, dropped from 132,000 to 112,000

I think he is mainly talking about Barclay's Premier League and all that euro ish... Which NBC seems to take very seriously.

Oh heck yeah, barn burner. They get another 3 million or so viewers for their record breaking match, they will have as many as a Texas race. :)
The NBC Sports Networks shows are averaging 391,000 viewers, 70% up on the equivalent figure last season, while the recent Manchester derby on the channel peaked at more than 1m viewers and its average of 852,000 made it second most-watched Premier League match ever on cable in the US

I've been drinking. I'll re-visit these numbers in the morning.

9.1 million viewers.

If you're going to compare stick and ball sports to NASCAR, let's do it right. Because comparing one regular season game between two teams is not the same as a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race where all 43 drivers/teams are on the track at the same time.

9.1 million people in the U.S. watched Premier League soccer among all the teams on television. 2.6 million people tuned in to watch the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Texas.

NBC's Premier League coverage is surprisingly good.

I keep saying NASCAR's ratings will improve greatly when they come to NBC because NBC will take it seriously - unlike Fox and ESPN. FS1 and ESPN have far too many big league sports and there's no room for NASCAR. I like Fox Sports 1 as a sports channel because the "Worldwide Leader" desperately needs serious competition but I totally get why StandOnIt and other race fans are pissed off. They're better about NASCAR than ESPN but they don't serve racing fans very well. NBC's doing great things with what they have.

Boy I was hoping you would just let it lay junior. that is 9 million spread out over 36 games..which would average about 250,000 (see how they fool you)? and if you would please refrain from your starting the B.S. comment in the first place on a Truck race thread...you have ton of off topic stick n ball threads you can go and post away on.

Also, did he seriously use his Twitter handle as the name above the window? o_O

There's a few of them in all series doing that now.

Maybe the wind was blowing in the wrong direction :)

Yeah, I know on a soldier's right shoulder the flag is reversed because it's supposed to represent how it would look if a flag was being carried into battle. But that is the left side of the truck so...

A lot of drivers (mostly the young ones) have been doing the twitter thing above the window for several years now. I think it's really stupid
