Trucks at Daytona

I enjoy his wins in the Nationwide and Trucks, but they don't 'impress' me. I don't care that he races in them and wins all the time. The guy has a passion for racing and wants to race as often as he can in whatever he can. I respect that.

I do enjoy the haters and their 'for his ego because he can't win in the pros' comments all the time. Simply because it makes them look bitter and ignorant considering that fact that, well, you know, he wins in the pros.

Does he have a championship? Nope. Does that mean he can't win races in the Cup? Obviously not.

I jumped up and down on the couch tonight !!!!! I was impressed

I seen him race 2 Nationwides live ----- he drives like Danica in a NW car :D He never did well in one to my Knowledge, maybe Chad has a thin notebook for the NW cars ??? Looks like Kyle has a handle on all of em to me but I am very biased :D

no doubt ...kyle is a broom sweeper.....but eventually ....maybe cup crown oughta be sole focus ?
he ain't no spring chicken no mo ! ha!

Good chattin with ya Hawg but I gotta get my beauty sleep, take care my friend

Missed the race & just saw the replay of the big one. I assume everybody came out ok? The 35 truck gave me earnhardt 2001 flashbacks.

Those kinds of wrecks are just a product of plate racing. If it was too dangerous drivers wouldn't sign up to race.

I'll have a search to see if I can find the wreck
I've missed both Duels and This race due to work.......I'm off for the D500 tho!

Kyle has "new talent" in one of his trucks, it gets wrecked almost every race. What a terrible thing that a young man owns his own team and wins races driving his own equipment. Brad tried to win in his own trucks but didnt do so well

Kind of like Kyle in his very own NW car. :p

The focus of BKR is clearly developing new talent. KBM....not so much.
The situation that pisses me off is JGR. They have the very best cars, but continue to put cup guys in those cars. Logano could have use the practice when he was at JGR, but it was Kyle in the car week after week. Biffle and Kahne jumping in the Red Horse cars was giving back to the sport because they were trying to help that team survive.

I went back to 2006 and found no Brad K wins in the truck series at all.

Brad is no Kyle in the trucks. BKR was started as a low budget team that has slowly built itself up. KBM was top shelf right away, with Kyle driving 2x to 3x as many truck races each year. KB built a big state of the art shop and then hired all the top talent in the truck garage, then he almost went broke.

I don't know this for sure, FB, but my guess is that Monster E wants Kyle in the car and it may be a deal breaker for them. They may just want to put their money in a winning car instead of a car to school young drivers.

Does anyone else think less of Busch when he runs the minor leagues? You can't win in cup, so you have to repair your fragile ego by racing in the lesser series? It wouldn't surprise me if he starts racing ARCA if he loses too many Nationwide and truck series races.
Check your stats before you make comments that are really dumb.

LOL...NASCRAP sure is trying to screw up their best racing series with the new truck aero pkg. This was the WORST truck series race Ive seen in a long time...Especially the first 50 laps....SNOOOOOOOZEFEST.....

Maybe you guys aren't NASCAR fans. A plate race win of that margin is damn good no matter who you're pulling for. Last lap pass coming out of four with the second best truck works for me. Peters had the best truck, Kyle just out drove him.
I agree, Bobby. That was an exciting race and one hell of a finish. I watched it over again this morning.

Im sure Kyle works very hard to insure his team survives, matter of fact he puts himself in harms way to do so

I wish there were fewer Cup drivers in the feeder series. However, I find it funny that when Smoke or Kahne run sprint cars, everyone loves their "passion of the sport." When Kyle Busch wins a truck race, he needs to focus on Cup. I'm guessing the truck race was far more helpful to Kyle for the 500 than the Chili Bowl will be for Ricky Stenhouse.

His ability behind the wheel is probably the reason he didnt go broke

Its gonna be a LONG season for the Kyle haters.
He is going to need a addition to the Trophy room this year.

Thankfully they built this one with room to grow, Kyle added 26 cars to it last year

o_O Kyle is 5th on the active Cup driver win list. 6th, if you count Mark Martin as active.

I don't mind too much when he's running his own equipment to keep things going, but I wish he would shift to more the model BKR uses. That team gives new talent a chance.
That's what Kyle's truck team was supposed to be used for when he first started it.But then EGO took over

Nascar has neutered the truck series to eliminate wrecks, they still wreck but they dont race much. The last lap was the only savior for that mess :(

Yep, and there is a lot of value sitting in that case. The coach must really like kyle a lot.

I enjoyed the race, the last half. Peters really got that outside lane going and the guys pushed it towards the end. I think the sprint cup race will be simlair but more cars will be able to pull the line, more stable this year = hopefully better 500.

He only races his own equipment in Trucks, and even then he has tremendous backing from Toyota.

That seems a little hypocritical of you, you know being a Penske guy and all...

If he worked so hard to make sure his team survives, then why didn't he stick it out in his own NWS car? He went one year driving for his own team. When he couldn't hack it he jumped ship right back to JGR. Don't you think his NWS team could have survived longer with that Monster money?

Seriously guys she isn't that great. Not even among the drivers wives. There are way prettier women out there. Too bad that all the Networks focus on her though.

dat forehead
dat nose
dat adams apple...

I like them petite. What can I say?

I do agree though, way more attention than necessary.

Reminds me of Kim Burton or Buffy Waltrip back in the day. If Jeff or Michael were ever in the lead, split screen, other half on the other screen.

Lack of competent drivers may have been part of the reason, Im sure the cost of fielding a competitive car could be another.
