  • Double Duty for LaJoie

  • LaJoie to make NCWTS debut in Kentucky: Ricky Benton Racing Enterprises announced that Corey LaJoie will be behind the wheel of the BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors/Tim Cooksey Oil Company/Goodyear FleetHQ Ford F-150 for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway on Thursday. It will be LaJoie's first NCWTS attempt. LaJoie, the son of two-time Nationwide Series champion Randy LaJoie, will be pulling double duty this weekend at Kentucky, a track where he won on the ARCA Racing Series last year. The 22-year old is entered in Friday's Nationwide Series race in addition to the NCWTS event.(RBR Enterprises)(6-23-2014)

I hope this bunch gets it together for Jeb Burton and he has a good run tonite. He has had a shaky start and he needs a good top 5 run

Been a long time since I've seen Corey LaJoie out on track. Good to see him in NASCAR again.

Yep, the Rowdy Busch/Brad Keselowski truck show is long overdue for cancellation. Especially with the current state of the truck series. Seven plus years ago when it was a veteran circuit for old mediocre Cup and Busch/Nationwide guys (Benson, Sprague, Crawford, Hornaday, Skinner etc) it would have been a much easier pill to swallow. Now that the Truck series has developed into a true minor league system for young drivers, having the Cup vets is just silly. And BORING! When the field is set properly, the Truck series is often my favourite to watch from an entertainment perspective. Having Kyle out there leading 75% of the laps and winning 70% of the races is terrible for the sport. And I'm not a Kyle Busch hater. I'm an HMS fan (#24 in particular), but I do like Kyle, just not running triple duty at this point in his career. If Miguel Cabrera went and played in AA ball, would we laud him for smashing a home run every game and batting .475? Or if Alex Ovechkin went down below the AHL to the East Coast League and scored 200 goals in 70 games, would that benefit hockey? Obviously not. Something has to change. Part of the development of the young drivers should be how to manage a lead. They should be learning when to challenge for the lead, when to let off and fight later in the race. Unfortunately they can't do that when one of the most talented stock car drivers in the world is 8 seconds ahead of second place and lapping the ninth place car.

I lost ya when you went to stick n ball, never heard of those people, no problem though. What I do is pay attention during the race to the guys who are running full time in the truck series. They have a pretty good points race going on if you aren't aware of it. A bonus is when the cup guys and a full timer start mixing it up. Last year Kyle didn't win this race a full timer did and beat all the cup guys. Good race to watch. Got to be a rush to beat the cuppers. Some around here will never believe it, but almost to a man, the truck guys all say they don't have a problem with it. Hell, it is a race..I watch races that is what I do. :)

Red Horse looking good so far. Can't get any better than a win to mark their 399th and 400th starts.

German Quiroga might have a good race tonight, fastest in both practices, and Peters is fast too, so good day for Red Horse Racing so far

Burton and Blaney, Wallace look to be running pretty good, Lajoie is sucking pretty bad. I don't think Burton has a real good truck under him this year, but you never know Estes trucking is a big outfit $$.

I have a feeling German might take a spin tonight. I doubt if Jones does it, but German has been doing quite a bit of rough driving this year.

Kyle's in the truck this week not Jones

I wouldn't be surprised if this happens the way German has been driving this year, but he has done well this year, and if he doesn't get himself into trouble, he could beat Kyle, but that will be hard to do

what? you don't think Kyle would spin him if he was in the way?:) he took out young Nemo last week and has bounced off quite a few this year.

Jennifer Joe Cobb will drink a case of Koma Unwind Relaxation drinks and pull off the win tonight.

i tell ya i like a lot of these rookies in trucks, and even the nationwide series, i think the future is looking good
