truthfulone is gone

I guess I'll weight in here.

I was one of the main protagonists in this production. It sure is easy to get carried away with the pack mentality even if it's just a few of us in the pack.

These type of forums usually go through one or two of these dramas every year or so if they're not over moderated - which this board is not - and many of us sometimes take advantage of that. I guess we're expected to try to moderate ourselves as the adults most of us appear to be, much of the time ;)

That being said, we all choose to handle confrontational/offensive post in our own way. Some ignore, others employ sarcasm, while a few of us opt for head games aimed to fluster and frustrate to get our points accross. There are even those who simply use the eye roll smiley. Which is right and which is wrong? That's anyone's guess but try to keep in mind that we all have our own personalities/opinions and that, IMO, is what makes this place what it is. I know it's one of the main reasons why I keep returning.

Now, does anyone have an extra beer or not?????

It's nice to have you on the board Lisa. Just a word of advice. Beware of anyone who quotes Michael Waltrip. ;)
 
I'm still trying to understand those who said they would have stopped coming to this site rather than just put the guy on ignore. I've used it just to take a break from people I like, which is why the internet beats real life in so many ways. ;)
 
No seriously, way back on this forum, we used to get some outright strange birds through here---lots of the old timers will remember 'em. Silver ram/the undertaker was a pain, and some (pre-andy) snotty kid named happy29...those guys were pathological( and I would know.)

Back then we had " the corner " or something like that where the mods would send the dudes for about a week. Seems quaint now, I think I even did a tour down there once, but it was like a little solitary confinement for troublemakers.
 
to tell the truth i can't even remember one of his posts. i'm usually here for a small amount of time, read the posts that look interesting and outta here. i use to read most of them but when a post goes too far off topic or people start insulting each other then i'm done with the thread.

I believe the corner still exists. I saw it mentioned somewhere. If I had a WS, I would put a spell on trouble makers for for a week, anything they type comes out "My name is --------, and I still suck my thumb" or "I keep soiling my darn pants". Forum members could add to the list of embarassing confessions. I think it would be funny as hell, and when the dude regains control of his keyboard, he would have a lot of questions to answer.

I think it was a day and a half. I think they should have let him go about his business, because he never got real nasty or way out of hand. Anyone could just put him on ignore.
 
What I hated was the way the guy used those little dots though.....I have always found that annoying....and really, I see little need for it....you guys know what I mean?

I mean...who does that anyhow?

Besides...no one told me we had an ignore feature.....
