Using Cars As Weapons

Being a big hockey fan as well I can see some similarities between this and the fighting in hockey. Some fans thinks it has no part in the sport, but others like myself believe it is an integral part. Some say its barbaric and makes the sport looks bad, others say it the most exciting part of a game.

In the end, we can all agree that we don't want to see anybody hurt or injured. However, if there's a day when a driver gets spun out or wrecked and he doesn't care enough to show his displeasure or give a little payback then why would I be interested? I love the passion that these guys drive with, and I enjoy it when certain guys get what's coming to them. It's give and take, and if you take too much then somebody might just give it to you.

Bowyer getting dumped by Gordon is the first one that comes to mind. Sure I didn't like how other cars got taken out, but I respected what Gordon did that day, he took a stand and said I'm not letting this guy get away with it again.

Wrecking a guy under caution is less honourable but sometimes it's the only way to get the message across. What Busch did to Honrnaday was gutless because, it was under caution and there was no real history there. They got together in a racing deal and Busch lost his mind. I can remember Vickers running over everyone a couple years back at Martinsvile (I believe) and a wrecked Jamie Mac tried to dump Vickers back under caution, and I remember thinking that I had no problem with what Jamie Mac did there because Vickers had it coming that day. In the end I think Kenseth dumped him but only after his Chase was effectively ended by Vickers.

i can see the point where one might say this driver cares so much and has the passion of course he's mad, his anger comes out, but how comes it seems like it's kyle with a 20 to 1 ratio. and there's no way he cares any more than others out there. just go to youtube and search kyle busch rageaholic

What I think makes the sport look bad is when the track comes apart in the middle of the race. I can't believe that there wouldn't have been some indication of that over the weekend leading up to the race.

so would you rather have this or repaved tracks?? Frankly I will gladly deal with a repair every so often if it means the cars race on aged surfaces. look at the race california now puts on!! its taken one of the most boring tracks and made it into one of the best of the bigger tracks. Michigan hasn't been as good since the repave. The voices complaining about track repairs are the ones forcing nascar into these repaves which ruins the track for years.

I sure don't want to see the track coming apart. That's a huge safety issue IMO. Both to the competitors and those in attendance. I guess we could just wait and react after someone gets injured.

I definitely want to see a repave of Dover at some point. Take it back to the asphalt again. I sat on the wooden bleachers back in the day at Dover. It is a much better show when drivers/teams have to react to the changing track conditions. That is something that has been lost in the era of concrete.

the old Kyle would have hit Clint. the mature Kyle actually listened to the guys talking him down.

Repave the entire track for one corner joint? No.
Inspect the track and patch the loose corner joint before the race? Yes.

Several drivers said they had spotted the loose piece days before the race. Pemberton lied to the public saying that they inspected the track and saw nothing wrong. Obviously, something was wrong. Lucky no fans were hurt. It's like me telling my professor I studied my ass off for the exam and scoring an F. Doesnt add up.

I don't mind it if its justified. We're not gonna see Days of thunder retaliation lol. If a guy spins you out to win the race, you're justified in letting him know that you didn't care for that. If someone forces you into the wall, not even for a win then you're more then justified to be pissed off. Does that mean you ram into the guy? No but at the same time, not caring will be used against you.. "Oh I slammed him into the wall last week, I can do it again and nothing will happen."

I remember when Kyle slid up coming off a turn and cut Dale Jr off. He got a hard look at the wall! He never did that again. Waldrup was announcer that day and said Jr just told him don't do that to me
He stuck him in the wall like driving a nail.
