Hello Everyone my name is Michael and I am racing the Vores Compact race at Bristol this year. I race on asphalt with a 2003 2.2 Ecotec Chevy Cavalier (4 Cylinder). I am getting a motor built and working on the car day in and day out getting it ready. I feel I am going to be well prepared in most aspects except for one. I have no idea on a transmission to use for the track. I have no idea on gear ratios, or anything needed for Bristol. If I were to go with a stock transmission I would probably be running in the 3-6k range in 4th gear. Does anyone have any advice on how I could possibly calculate the ratio I'd need to the car, or possibly have ran there in the past with some insight? Looking for any advice and ideas possible. Thank you.
