I started when we got our first computer in 2001. My first board was ThatsRacin. This board came to be when that one imploded. 97forever and I joined up on the same day here.
I do that on Facebook. I deactivate my account due to posting something stupid after a few adult beverages, then after a few months I reactivate my account and again post something stupid...rinse and repeat

I made a mistake....... We got our first computer in 1999..... I started posting on NOL in Feb. 2001......
I got my first computer a LONG time ago - it was an 8086 IBM clone and had a green/yellow text only (I think) screen. No internets at that time of course...then later...remember AOL? it was all the rage!

I don't recall the model you mentioned...... but...... I know we bought a used IBM before we bought our first Gateway in '99..... I paid 1700 hundred bucks for that thing...... was the latest and greatest....... lol........
Yeah, it worked out kinda like color TVs. I remember as a kid we stuck with the B&W for a long time cause a 20 inch color was $500 or so (in a wood cabinet, they were like pieces of furniture back then). Now you get a 32 inch color for $199.00 on sale.
Early computers were very expensive.
(not to hijack the thread but we have already established how many kids the Intimidator had

I like my dogs better then most people.

I know exactly where you are coming from brother.
It does make for some creative excuses though. I have had to come up with some "Mark Twain-esque" fiction to cover some borderline stuff I have posted.

I remember when 8BudGirl did that when Jimmie Johnson won a race. The first sentence was "I think I'm gonna puke." and the whole thing was pretty funny.

Nothing like the old Zenith console TV's and those things were massive and weighed a ton. No one could work the horizontal and vertical controls like I could lol.
