It would be better to use the latest technology.

And as was mentioned before, I forget by whom, Robby Gordon has driven all four brands as well.

Yes, Robbby drove a Ford, For Junie Donlavey in 1991 and Yates in 1993
He drove a Chevy for SABCO in 1997, McClure in 2001, RCR 2001-04.

As an owner/driver He fielded Chevrolets in 2005-06, Fords in 2007, Dodges in 2008, Toyotas 2009/2010 and back to Dodges 2011. Not only the first to run all four car corporations, but the only owner to run all four.

He also ran Ford Cosworth, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Honda power in his open wheel starts as well.

Can't accuse Robby of being a brand ho, thats for sure.

I had to go back to page one to see what this thread topic was about....
Since the season has finished, people are forever changing the subject in a thread. I guess they would rather joke around than to discuss something. Too bad they just don't do it in the Chit Chat section.

C'mon, Buckaroo! :beerbang::beerbang::beerbang: It's all good!

Thanks for the info, AML. First I've heard of it.

I like to check on this forum for the latest news.

I'd wish some would fill us in more than assume we already know.

1994 IROC Champion Mark Martin :D He should have Won the Cup championship in 1990 but NASCAR robbed him.

That was a stupid reason to lose a Championship. An unapproved carb spacer? Come on guys, how dumb can you be. Yes, I think NASCAR was too harsh taking 46 points away, but still it was dumb for them to use that part in the first place.

It actually was an Approved spacer the problem NASCAR had with it was that Jack welded it to the manifold instead of the "Normal" bolting method, BUTT because there was NO RULE covering that socalled infraction NASCAR said it was an-unapproved spacer. I think the 46 points where calculated to make Martin the last car on the lead lap? not sure though?

I never heard the reason Jack welded the spacer on but Jack is an old drag racer and that was common back in the early Pro-Stock cars. The carb was'nt twisted or relocated on the manifold it was in it's normal position.

Let me guess. By removing the gasket and welding the spacer on, Jack was able to move the carb 1/16 of an inch closer to the intake manifold. Getting that gap just right can gain you 20 hp or more.

I guess the three of yens are getting pissy because you're going through withdraws, your meth dealer being arrested and all that.

I really wish yens would come to Southern National next year and run your mouths in the same style that your fingers run across your keyboards.

what a classy a**hole. :D
