Ware brought it out

God I hate this fanbase most days.

Bringing back bad things of the past because of nostalgia and short sightendness.

Ending races under caution sucked, it always sucked I will not let that come back.

You people have taken enough from me the last couple years with your constant compliments and NASCAR has only made it worse by rewarding you.

Sounds like a lot of rage.

Nostalgia?

How you going to stop that one?

Who was constantly complimenting NASCAR and getting rewarded for it?

Gonna play devils advocate here, maybe, just maybe Nascar knows teams tried to manipulate the finishes with a late spin to finish under yellow. God knows we've seen manipulation before, and this is their way to combat that.

My preference would be to do away with overtime as I’ve never cared for it. I’d also be in favor of no stages or stage points. This is just what I’d like & I understand that others see things differently

1. When you have Ware's crew chief Tommy Baldwin saying on Door Bumper Clear that it was his fault, they gambled on tires, had 60 laps on theirs (dumb when tires were shredding like crazy) and the right rear tire blew.
2nd. Ware's car was sideways on the track to the field ...was he going to back up, pull into the grass? Where could he go safer? when the field was closing at over 180 MPH and Nascar was supposed to let that go?

Now it's time for opinions on the f'n restart rules? Give me a break.
Have questions? Go back up, and read statement number one, go pull up the Door Bumper Clear podcast. The one that has in great big letters that says IT WAS MY FAULT.

Nawp who's the head honcho that greenlighted Tommy Baldwin to run 60+ long on purpose? Show us the tire that "exploded"? Show us the RR tire flat?
Show us the out of car video replay?

Pics or didn't happen. This is all social media cover to keep us from realizing there's a paid marker in the series bringing out the caution when they say "hey we're gonna need you" and tip their cap double forearm signal wink. Denny Hamlin is just being nice to RWR so they don't pull their charter for jobbing him out of a win. Bet they won't be doing that again anytime soon, running long for dead last place sorry excuse me 6 laps down, penny pinching on tires. What good do they serve in the series at this point? Entertainment. Okay yes he can stay.

Nobody wants to play in the sandbox. It's okay dry humor.

Retired David Hoots calls from home tells the booth, push the red button. Staff says what's the red button? Hoots says just push it... so he does, boom! goes the tire. Hoots says "Now Put it out!", now you know what that red button does.

Overtime sucks because it’s so different from other sports. You don’t have hockey teams losing by three points given a second chance in overtime or NFL teams down by 14 given another chance because of overtime. If NASCAR goes into overtime, let anyone within a second of the leader battle it out in a two laps shootout and just score the rest of the field in the position they were in at the time of caution. My biggest annoyance is when fuel comes into play, especially due to multiple overtimes. How is a team supposed to strategize for that!?!?

In other sports, a team losing by 3 also doesn’t automatically catch up to the leader when an unrelated competitor commits an error and forces a pause in competition.

Maybe they should just require them to all remain wherever at whatever distance apart they were on track when it came out and go to pit road speed when a caution comes out.

In other sports with tiebreakers, only the participants that are tied are involved. No third team will get past them in overtime and take the win. See golf with the possibility of more than two in a playoff.
