Shoney’s Independence 70 to pay $10,000 to win July 4th at Wartburg Speedway

WARTBURG, TN (June 20, 2007)—The Shoney’s Restaurants Independence 70 on Wednesday July 4th will mark the largest Super Late Model event ever held on the grounds of Wartburg Speedway. The $10,000 to win one-day event will feature a complete show of Time Trials, Dash, Heat Races, B-Mains, and the 70-lap A-Main on America’s Independence Day.

The Sportsman division will also compete for a nice paying $2,000 to win 30-lap main event. There will also be a complete show of Street Stocks, Front Wheel Drives, and Pure Mini’s the night of the Shoney’s Restaurants Independence Spectacular at Wartburg Speedway.

Fans will also be treated to a Huge Fireworks display the night of the event along with a full show for all divisions.

The Sportsman event July 4th will be presented by Gear Head Web Graphics.com as Dwain Seiber has graciously placed a FREE web design plus one year of updating to the winner of the Sportsman event, along with the $2,000 top prize.

The Super Late Models will race for $10,000 to win / $300 to start in the main event with an Open Tire Rule and a $150.00 entry fee. Tow Money for those not making the main event is $50.00. The Sportsman division will race for $2,000 to win / $100 to start and a $100 entry fee will be charged. Sportsman drivers not making the main event will receive $35.00 Tow Money.

Anthony White of Clinton, Tennessee currently sits high atop the point standings in the Super Late Model division with six feature event wins including the “Mack 50” which paid $5,000 to win back on May 11 and the “Memorial Day Weekend Rumble 40” on May 25 which paid White a cool $3,000. White will try and hold his own against the traveling drivers expected to be in attendance as well as the top local competitors for the Wednesday July 4th event presented by Shoney’s Restaurants.

The Gates are slated for opening at 4:00 p.m. with Driver’s Meeting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the Wednesday night Special Event. All Times are Eastern.

Ticket Prices for the Shoney’s Restaurants Independence Spectacular include: $20.00 for Adults in the grandstands with children 7-12 $10.00 and children 6 and under admitted free. Tier Parking is $25.00 for Adults with children 7-12 $15.00 and children 6 and under admitted free. Adult Pit Passes are $35.00 with children 6 and under admitted free.
