I love short track racing (Taylor's Version)
Reading a lot of stuff on Facebook, everyone (except for Kyle Busch fans) are saying it was a sleepfest.

Y'all are so jaded. If the race doesn't include a last-lap dash to a photo-finish, it's a waste of your time. Seriously, there was plenty of good racing in the Truck Race. The fact that two drivers ran away from the field is only PART of the story. JEEZ!
I enjoyed the race!
You just can't buy knowledge like that.

Same results here as on Facebook, Kyle fans thought it was great and everyone else thought it sucked.
Glad a guy stepping down two divisions in far superior equipment and (not surprisingly) winning races is exciting to some of you, you're the reason NASCAR's going the way of the dinosaur.
...you're the reason NASCAR's going the way of the dinosaur.
And I enjoy plate races
I havn't seen anyone on here that was excited about Kyle winning. So I have to wonder why you would make that statement.Same results here as on Facebook, Kyle fans thought it was great and everyone else thought it sucked.

Really?? It wouldn't have mattered to me had Harvick or Dillon won the race (and I am a Pee Wee Fan). My opinion would have been the same either way. There was a lot of action and some great side-by-side racing throughout the event! It's not just about who takes the checkered flag and by what margin.
I would counter by saying that your dislike of the winner has influenced your viewpoint.

I don't know what planet you spend most of your time, but I've called races boring even when my guy won. Hell, I can't stand it that my guy also double dips every weekend.
Planet Earth, Mang!!
I just find it disturbing that some discount the quality of a race simply because one or two drivers dominate. Winning a race is important but it's not the only reason that racers race. The performances of Busch and Dillon do not discount, or render unimportant, the effort put out by the rest of the field to get their best possible finish. I thought that SPEED did a credible job of showing what was going on further back in the pack. And there was a LOT going on in the pack all race long. I was not bored...
You must be the type of person that watches a tree grow and doesn't think that is boring. !
If Kyle was sitting in that tree robbybee would be happier than an old man after having his Viagra refilled.
Good post.Now THAT'S funny, Mike!!
Seriously, KG, I don't watch racing just to see who won and by how much. Just like I don't watch racing for the wrecks. Every driver who finished that race was giving 100% effort while out there on the track. I celebrate the efforts of guys like James Buescher who came in to today's race with the points lead and leaves with a 2-point deficit to young Mr. Dillon. I watch to see how well Todd Bodine will do after the mid-season shake-up in his team. I watch to see if Ron Hornaday can work his way back into championship contention. I watch to see if rookies such as Cole Whitt and Joey Colter can continue their incredible rookie seasons.
There is soooo much more to racing than just paying attention to who made it to Victory Lane.
What's the difference between this post and your #3 post?Skrub Cherry Pickin Trucks...

So what is KYLE'S operating budget compared to others??? You have no clue, until you post what HIS budget is you are ASSuming. How do you know he has FAR SUPERIOR equipment? Can you compare what he has VS someone else?
You still didn't explain how it was not a boring race. That's because you KNOW it was a boring race. And if you think every driver gives 100% then you are seriously a rookie fan. All drivers admit they don't give 100% unless they are in contention for the win. If you're a NASCAR fan you should have known this.
I don't know what to say, KG. Opinions are like a-holes, I guess. I thought the Truck race was quite entertaining. You didn't. I think that Plate Races are a joke. You prolly love them, seeing as how you like big scary crashes and all.
And as far as the giving 100% thing, I would tend to agree with that in a 500 mile race at a track like Michigan or Fontucky (which are now all 400 milers, I believe) or maybe even INDY and/or Pocono that most drivers rest occasionally during the middle stages. But in the case of a 175 lap sprint race (not Sprint Cup) on a 1-mile oval, as the Truck Race was, I seriously doubt that any of these athletes were loafing.
BTW, I have been watching NASCAR since before many on this forum were even born!
My mother has been driving since before I was born and actually for over 50 years...I challenge you to drive 5 miles with her and not want to jump from the vehicle at 60mph.
