Don't know that we are close to entering the endgame yet. Not much resistance was expected through the southern extremes.
I distrust the Iraqi regime totally. There are more than 200 miles of that desert yet to traverse before we begin to close on Baghdad; more than enough time and space for some dastardly doings.

If I was one of them I would surrender too! Heck, now they will get some food and water from the US/Brits. Unlike under Saddam!
