what a di**

Jr is evan that great. The only places they run decent on are restrictor plate tracks. He has lucked into every other win of his.

Fergy The reason everyone compares him to hs dad is becouse if sr wouldnt have been a racer nobody would like Jr.

So your saying the way Dale Earnhardt raced made Jr famous? How?

Jr races nothing like his dad, other than they know Daytona and Talladega.

I love conversations like this.....

You mean his first win at Texas was luck? His wins at Richmond, Dover. Phoneix, Bristol, Chicago, and Atlanta were luck? Please do explain.....

What im trying to get across to you, is that the way Vickers won that race is the sme was Sr. would have won it. But it was great if Sr. did it. And you can see what people say win vickers dose the same thing.

No, you said Jr can only win at restrictor plate races and everyone race was luck....I can go back and quote you if you want.

Sr is dead and gone. It sucks, but he is. No one knows how/if we would have won that race. I was a huge Sr. fan but I really didn't care for the way he knocked Terry out of the way at Bristol to win there.

Not everything Sr. did was praised by his fans....

the texas win may have been luck..i dont remember exactly (wasn't there), but wasn't that win when they still had the 12/24 banking split?

I don't really remember, I think Jr had a big lead at the end of the race. Seems like his car blew away the field at the end. Might have been because of a fuel gamble though...I just don't remember.

Or might have been the super-aerodynamic paint.:D

Fergy, seriously, you can't say Dale Jr,'s popularity isn't based on his last name. There's absolutely no way you can stand back and say; "he did it on his own." That's why I said 'initially', because initially it was his Dad's driving, and his Dad's fame that made the 8 car popular. Then, once his Dad died, his popularity surged by default as virtually every 3 fan donned the Budweiser red.

To even insinuate otherwise is not only laughable, it makes you look wholly uninformed and lost in denial.

In years since his father's death, Junior has proven he has his own style, and is a good driver, however at the start - it was all Big E.

Uninformed? Not at all..... In denial? Nope.

Hate to break the news to you, but Dale, Sr. and Dale, Jr. have nothing in common on the track other than their name. They have a completely different driving styles. Fame and popularity was never brought into this thread until your last post.

And if you care to look through Jr's background, you'll see that he came up through the early ranks on his own. Daddy E didn't have too much to do with his cars, only the safety equipment. But I'm sure you knew all that, you being all informed and all.

The kid is a two time champion in the Busch Series and has won at every kind of track, other than a road course, that NASCAR has to offer. But he still can't gain any respect from other fans because he is an "Earnhardt".

Hey mister, How many races did Jeff Burton win by luck.....When he was in the 99 he was the "Rain Man". REMEMBER. That's luck too.

Eveybody doesnt get mad win he gets wrecked eather...But he also hasnt ever wrecked anyone to win...

There's a poll on nascar.com about who is to blame for the last lap wreck.
It's kinda funny how the majority of voters saw it.

Ok why are you attacking me? Did i say anything about you? no i did not. I was stating a fact.

:einstein: You need to grow up...

Man - if you're going to be aliterate, why do you even get involved in coversations? There's nothing left to say except repost exactly what I said already, because not only did you enforce my point - you made it ring even more true. Try reading my reply to yours again.

I reiterate -
