I hate this time of year. My weekends feel so empty now that there's no racing on. My DVR has nothing to record.

I'm probably going to be counting down days to the un-official start of the racing season: The 24 Hours of Daytona. I can only do so much of watching classic races I've seen a bazillion times.

I'm fearful the end of the 2009 racing season means I'll have to be sociable with my extended family. At least I can still get my racing fix via Forza Motorsport 3. I need to get caught up on some books I haven't read yet, and a games like Torchlight and Dragon Age.

Chili Bowl, 16-19 January. Close to 300 midgets, 4 straight nights of racing. I'll probably try to hit some Arena racing too.

Going to poke around in the woods and fields of Alabama in search of Whitetail deer until Febuary.

Also continue to pray for a revival in this country back to the way of our Founding Fathers, not the way of our Floundering Socialist Public servents.

School and racing games... Either gonna do the 24 hours of Dayona (4th time) or Le Mans (2nd time), possibly the 6 hours at Sebring, maybe the 3 hour races at Homestead and Birmingham.

The rest of the football season (college and pro) and college basketball.

Knee deep in hockey and the end of the NFL season. Thankfully hockey is still going when NASCAR starts back up so there are no dead spots for me.

Get off my duff and do something productive. I'm using the little remaining weakness I still have from my TIA as a reason to park myself in front of this computer.

Well, in some sense, my off-time started in October after the IndyCar season was over, so I was watching NASCAR. Now that its over, I'll have football to get me through until Daytona.

I can always watch the IndyCar races I have recorded too.;)

How do you comply a DVD? :)

Brett is a good guy. One of my friends has a son who worked as a volunteer once in his golf tournament. While riding around in his golf cart, he rode up to Brett and asked him he needed a lift. Brett got in and they chatted. My friend's son grinned and asked Brett if he had ever won a Winston Cup race and then giggled. Brett just giggled right back. Brett does have a good sense of humor.

I am trying to get home from Homestead. I have the Rumble in Fort Wayne in a month or so. :beerbang:

I'll probably be reading about racing and any news, watching some old races on tape and maybe actually go visit some people on weekends.

Moving to Florida .... 3 miles from Palm Beach International Raceway actually.

Charlotte County Motorsports Park and New Smyrna Speedway have no offseason.:beerbang:

goin crazy......lol.... luckily for me it is a shirt trip.

Already bored an it's only the first Saturday after Homestead. Guess I'll finally have to straighten out that spare room otherwise known as I didn't know where to put it so lets dump it in here room. Well, There's always the banquet to look forward too.

Finish off my workshop so I have a place to pass the time during the next off season but there will be a TV in there so I can watch racing and do some work at the same time.

I hated there was no racing on this past weekend! I did record an old race that was on ESPNC today. I just saw the end and Dale Earnhardt won, but I don't even know exactly what race it was. I'll watch it later. I looked through the guide a few different times this past weekend to see if anything was on, and this is all I could find, so I set it to record. I thought I heard there was a review of the season on somewhere at sometime, but I missed finding it. We did have company last night so at least I didn't have to worry there was a current race on and I'd want to be doing my usual - watching, recording, listening to the scanner, and being online commenting on the race as it ran.

I think I'm hopeless! :)
